If you want to add a personal touch to your kart in Mario Kart World, stickers are the way to go.
These little decals not only give your ride some flair, but they also showcase your in-game accomplishments—whether you’re tearing up tracks in Grand Prix or crushing Free Roam challenges.
Even better, your sticker appears next to your name on leaderboards and floats above your kart in multiplayer, so everyone will know what kind of racer you are. Let’s break down how to get more stickers and how to show them off.

🎁 How to Unlock Stickers in Mario Kart World
You’ll start off with a basic sticker set just for jumping into the game, but there are tons more to earn as you play across different modes.
Here are some ways to unlock stickers:
- 🏁 Complete Grand Prix Cups
- 🔴 Beat P-Switch challenges in Free Roam
- 🚗 Participate in a set number of races
- 🛣️ Hit distance milestones (like 5km, 10km, etc.)
- 🍑 Collect Peach Medallions in Free Roam
Each time you unlock a new sticker, the game will give you a little popup letting you know.
To check out your collection, head to the ‘Stickers’ menu on the main screen—it’s marked by a gray icon with the number 17 on it (circled in red if you’re following in-game screenshots).
Once inside the Stickers menu, you’ll be able to:
- View all unlocked stickers
- See what you did to earn them
- Check out locked ones and their unlock conditions
Example: You might unlock the Koopa green shell sticker by driving 5 total kilometers.

🎨 How to Equip Stickers on Your Kart
Ready to show off your style? Here’s how to apply a sticker:
- Choose your character from the character select screen.
- Press the + button on your controller to bring up the sticker selection.
- Pick your sticker and press A to confirm.
- That’s it—it’s now displayed above your kart and next to your name in multiplayer and leaderboards.
You can only equip one sticker at a time, so make it count! Whether it’s a symbol of your favorite track, a hard-earned milestone, or just something that looks cool, your sticker is a chance to make your kart your own.
