Warzone Players Want Another Gas Grenade Nerf

Call of Duty: Warzone has had its fair share of overpowered weapons and equipment over the years. From the DMR meta to Roze’s impossible-to-see skin, players never forget the biggest balance issues.

Now, in Black Ops 6’s integration, Gas Grenades have become the latest problem.

Even after getting nerfed in Season 2, players feel the changes did nothing, and they’re calling for another big adjustment.

Why Are Gas Grenades Still a Problem?

Despite the nerf, players say gas grenades remain too powerful, leading to unfair fights and “cheap” kills.

One major complaint is that teammates aren’t affected by the gas, allowing squads to spam multiple grenades while moving in for easy eliminations.

“They need to change it so that throwing gas affects your teammates too. Right now, you can just spam 3 or 6 gas grenades and have your teammates clean up. Super cheap.”

Others believe the effects kick in too fast and that the damage is still too high even after the update.

“The ‘nerf’ did nothing. They still hit through walls, tick damage is still high, movement slow,” one player complained.

How Should Gas Grenades Be Changed?

Players have suggested different ways to fix the issue, including:

• Making gas affect teammates, so squads can’t spam it for easy kills.
• Reducing the number of effects, as some feel gas grenades do too much at once.
• Adding a delay before full effects kick in, instead of instantly slowing movement and blurring vision.

“It should only cause health ticks and movement slow AFTER you’ve been sitting in the gas for a few seconds, not immediately.”
