Survival game Soulmask gears up for a big 2025 with a jam-packed roadmap, including a full 1.0 Steam release, automated clan systems, free DLC, and major gameplay improvements.
The survival game scene absolutely blew up in 2024, and Soulmask was right there in the mix with big names like Enshrouded, Once Human, Abiotic Factor, and Palworld. While many of these titles are still deep in early access, Soulmask is finally getting ready to take the next big step—and now we’ve got the full scoop on what’s coming.

At first glance, Soulmask might seem like your standard survival adventure. But it brings a pretty wild twist to the genre—you can actually take over an NPC. So if one of your tribe members has the right skills, stats, or just vibes with your playstyle, you can literally sync with them and take control. It’s a game-changer that sets Soulmask apart from the pack.
The game’s still evolving, but Campfire Studio just dropped a detailed 2025 roadmap, and there’s a lot coming. First up, starting in Q2 2025, the devs are rolling out an automated clan system. That means you can delegate construction and logistics without having to micromanage every little thing—tribe management is about to get way more streamlined.
Also coming around that same time is a free DLC called The Mysteries of the Ancient Oriental. In it, an unknown force from deep below the ocean starts calling out to the Chieftains of the land. It’s up to you to explore and uncover a powerful, long-buried presence hidden between the sand and sea.
Then there’s the big one: the official 1.0 launch, currently set for Q3 2025. Campfire Studio has a bunch lined up for that milestone—clan upgrades, better NPC behaviors, revamped gestures, appearance replication, and more. They’re also planning to share more dev updates throughout the year to build the hype.
Looking even further ahead, version 1.x will bring additional architectural styles and other enhancements to help you customize your world even more. Basically, 2025’s going to be a packed year for Soulmask fans—so keep your eyes peeled.
