Monster Hunter Wilds: Know How to Get Clerk Armor Set

Not every armor set in Monster Hunter Wilds has to scream “battle-ready.” Some, like the Clerk set, are all about looking sharp while still offering decent defense. Inspired by the clean, professional look of NPCs in the Grand Hub, this casual-yet-functional armor debuted in the first Title Update of the game. And yes, you’ll still have to hunt a few monsters to get it.

If you’re looking to gear up like the Grand Hub’s finest, here’s everything you need to know about crafting the Clerk armor set.

🛠️ How to Get the Clerk Armor Set in MH Wilds

To craft the Clerk set, you’ll need to collect materials from both Arena quests and standard monster hunts. The bulk of the materials come from Arena-exclusive coins, while the rest are drops from monsters you’ll find in the wild.

🔓 How to Unlock the Clerk Set

  • Complete at least one Rathian Arena quest for the set to appear at the Smithy.

🧾 Clerk Armor Set Crafting Requirements

PieceMaterials Required
Clerk Visor Alpha2 Doshaguma Hide, 1 Pinnacle Coin, 2 Rathian Coin, 1 Chata Coin
Clerk Suit Alpha2 Gravios Carapace, 1 Pinnacle Coin, 2 Rathian Coin, 1 Chata Coin
Clerk Vambraces Alpha2 Blangonga Pelt, 1 Pinnacle Coin, 2 Rathian Coin, 1 Chata Coin
Clerk Belt Alpha2 Guardian Fulgur Pelt, 1 Pinnacle Coin, 2 Rathian Coin, 1 Chata Coin
Clerk Shoes Alpha2 Rathalos Scale+, 1 Pinnacle Coin, 2 Rathian Coin, 1 Chata Coin

🔁 Where to Get Materials:

  • Monster Coins (Rathian, Chata, Pinnacle): From Arena quests.
  • Monster Parts (Hides, Carapaces, Scales): From regular hunts. These do not drop in Arena quests.

To get Pinnacle Coins, you’ll want to complete Arena quests quickly—faster clears usually give better coin drops. Keep in mind, normal monster drops like Rathalos Scales only come from standard hunts or natural spawns like those in Wounded Hollow.

🧠 Is the Clerk Set Worth Crafting?

Stat-wise, the Clerk set isn’t groundbreaking—but it does have some nice defensive perks.

Full Set Skill Bonuses:

  • Divine Blessing 3
  • Recovery Up 3
  • Palico Rally 5
  • Survival Expert 3
  • Tool Specialist 4
  • 5 Level 2 Decoration Slots
  • 4 Level 1 Decoration Slots

Pros:

  • Divine Blessing + Recovery Up = solid survivability
  • Palico Rally is great for companion-focused builds
  • Stylish design (perfect for layered armor use)

Cons:

  • Easily outclassed by other High Rank sets
  • Survival Expert depends on specific environments
  • Better for fashion than meta gameplay

The Clerk armor set might not be a top-tier choice for endgame hunts, but it offers solid defensive utility and a clean, unique look. Whether you want to actually wear it or just unlock it for fashion (layered armor FTW), it’s worth grabbing—especially if you’re already grinding Arena quests anyway.

So grab your gear, clear out that Rathian Arena quest, and start collecting those coins!
