How to Add or Change Animals in Your City in InZOI

As you’re building the perfect city full of charming Zois, don’t forget to add some adorable animals into the mix! From fluffy cats to wild foxes, animals in InZOI help bring your streets, parks, and neighborhoods to life. They’re a fun way to make your city feel more vibrant and full of personality. Here’s how to get them roaming around.
How To Add Animals to Your City in InZOI
Adding animals is super easy thanks to the City Edit Mode. Just follow these steps:
- Open City Edit Mode
Press M on your keyboard or click the Edit City button (bottom-right corner of the screen). - Head to the City Appearance Tab
In the edit menu, click on the City Appearance tab. - Select the Animals Tab
On the right side, you’ll see an Animals option. Click it. - Pick Your Animals
You can choose up to three animal types from the current list:
- Cats
- Dogs
- Deer
- Pandas
- Raccoons
- Squirrels
- Foxes
- Crocodiles
- Cats
- Adjust Population Density
Use the slider to set how many animals appear in your city. Note: this density applies across all three types you select. - Save Your Changes
Once you’re happy with your picks and density settings, click “Go Back.” The animals will start to appear naturally around public areas like streets and parks.
Can You Get a Pet in InZOI?
Right now, you can’t adopt pets to live with your Zoi, even though pet-related items exist in Build Mode. The animals you add are just for visual flair—they help bring life to the city, give you some great photo ops, and make your world feel a little more magical.
That said, players are definitely eager for a full pet system, and the devs have confirmed it’s a priority for future updates. So fingers crossed—we might see actual pets and adoption features soon!
