Oblivion Remastered: How to Join the Fighter’s Guild (All Locations Guide)

Want to join the Fighter’s Guild in Oblivion Remastered? Here’s where to go and who to talk to in Chorrol, Anvil, and Cheydinhal—plus how to get your first contract.
Oblivion Remastered: How to Join the Fighter’s Guild
The Fighter’s Guild is one of the easiest factions to join in Oblivion Remastered, and it’s a great choice for beginners. No complicated entry tests, no shady rituals—just prove you’re clean and ready to work, and you’re in.
Whether you’re looking to start bashing bandits or just want to dive into faction quests early, here’s how to get started with the Fighter’s Guild and where to find it.
🗺️ Where to Join the Fighter’s Guild
You can officially join the Fighter’s Guild at three locations across Cyrodiil:
- Chorrol – Talk to Vilena Donton
- Anvil – Talk to Azzan
- Cheydinhal – Talk to Burz gro-Khash

📍 Chorrol – A Great Starting Point
Location: Northwest of the Imperial City
Guild Contact: Vilena Donton
Once in Chorrol, head to the north end of town—there’s a big roundabout with a tree in the center. The Fighter’s Guild hall is right at the northernmost point.
You’ll find Vilena upstairs in her chambers. Talk to her, and as long as your criminal record is clean (no bounty), she’ll let you join immediately.
💡 Note: After joining in Chorrol, you’ll be directed to Anvil to start taking on contracts.
📍 Anvil – For Contracts & Membership
Location: On the coast, southwest Cyrodiil
Guild Contact: Azzan
As you enter Anvil, look for a large tree just past the main gate—the Fighter’s Guild building is just left of the tree.
If Azzan isn’t on the main floor, check the dining hall upstairs or his office on the third floor. Once you find him, he can sign you up (again, no bounty required) and offer your first contracts.
📍 Cheydinhal – Another Option to Join
Location: Directly east of the Imperial City
Guild Contact: Burz gro-Khash
Enter Cheydinhal through the west gate and follow the main road. Before reaching the covered bridge, turn right, and the Fighter’s Guild hall will be on your right.
Speak with Burz gro-Khash inside. He’ll sign you up and also give out contracts, making this another solid starting point.
✅ Requirements to Join
- No bounty or active criminal status
- That’s it. No special skills, no tests, no fighting required—just walk in and talk to the right person

🛡 Why Join the Fighter’s Guild?
- Easy introduction to faction quests and guild ranks
- Steady stream of contracts and gold
- Access to guild supplies, training, and a bit of lore
It’s the perfect faction for any character build, especially early on in your adventure.
So whether you’re swinging a sword or just getting your feet wet in Cyrodiil, the Fighter’s Guild is a solid place to start. Pick your city, talk to the guild lead, and get ready to take your first job!
