How to Complete Whom Gods Annoy and Get the Ring of Eidolon’s Edge

Whom Gods Annoy

Learn how to complete Whom Gods Annoy in Oblivion Remastered and claim the powerful Ring of Eidolon’s Edge, perfect for any warrior build.

There are a lot of desperate souls in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered that could use your help — and honestly, most of the time, you’ll walk away with a solid reward for your trouble.

Whom Gods Annoy is one of those quests that’s pretty easy, especially if you’re a battle-hardened adventurer, but the prize you get at the end is absolutely worth it.

This time, a lonely woman finds herself caught up in a cursed mess — and you’re the one who’s going to clean it up.

Starting Whom Gods Annoy

Whom Gods Annoy Leyawiin
  • Location: Leyawiin (way down southeast near Topal Bay)
  • How to Start:
    1. Go directly to Rosentia Gallenus’ house and talk to her.
    2. OR, wander around Leyawiin chatting about rumors until someone points you her way.

Either way, Rosentia’s house will get marked on your map once you’re on the right track. Nice and easy.

How to Get the Ring of Eidolon’s Edge

After you meet Rosentia, you’ll find out that her “harmless” curiosity has turned into a massive problem.

Here’s what happens next:

  • Rosentia will ask you to meet Alves Uvenim at the Mage’s Guild in Leyawiin.
  • Alves will tell you about the Daedric Staff and how to lift the curse.
  • Return to Rosentia and agree to take the Staff of the Everscamp from her — meaning you now carry the curse.

The Plan

Now you’ve got the cursed staff and a bunch of annoying scamps tailing you 24/7.
You need to take the staff back to Darkfathom Cave, east of Leyawiin across the river.

Inside Darkfathom Cave

  • Head straight in and follow the marker on your compass.
  • Watch out for Stunted Scamps — they’re everywhere, flinging fireballs at you like it’s going out of style.
  • When you find a giant horn landmark, take a left.
  • Eventually, you’ll reach a shrine with a big ominous statue behind it.

At the shrine:

  • Stand in front of the stone with the Oblivion symbol.
  • Drop the Staff of the Everscamp from your inventory.

Boom — the curse is broken! 🎉

Wrapping Up the Quest

  • Exit Darkfathom Cave.
  • Fast-travel back to Leyawiin.
  • Meet Rosentia at her house and let her know the job’s done.

As thanks, she’ll give you the Ring of Eidolon’s Edge — one of the better rings for melee-focused players early in the game.

Why the Ring of Eidolon’s Edge is Worth It

  • +5 Fortify Block (makes you way better at defense)
  • +5 Fortify Blade (boosts your sword damage)
  • Value: 1,200 Gold if you decide to sell it — but honestly, it’s way more valuable to wear.

If you’re running a heavy combat build and want to slice through enemies while blocking like a champ, this ring is a no-brainer. 🛡️⚔️
