Before you can even begin this quest, you’ll need to:
- Complete all Recommendation quests from the local Mages Guild chapters.
- Finish the Mages’ Staff quest.
Once that’s done:
- Speak to Raminus Polus at the Arcane University in the Imperial City.
- Choose the Advancement option, and you’ll be promoted to Journeyman.
- Raminus will then assign you the Ulterior Motives quest—your first major job as a ranked guild member.
📚 Retrieving the Book from Count Janus Hassildor
Now head to Castle Skingrad and speak to Mercator Hosidus in the County Hall.
- He’ll say the Count is busy and ask you to return the next day.
- Use the wait function to fast-forward 24 in-game hours while still in the castle.
