Chapters 6 and 7 in DOOM The Dark Ages are back-to-back action-packed levels known as “The Siege.” While Chapter 6 gives you a sprawling, open-world battlefield to explore, Chapter 7 tightens things up with a more compact layout. In fact, the Secret Key in Chapter 7 is nearly impossible to miss — it’s right along the main path. That said, actually reaching it is another story.

Here’s how to grab the Chapter 7 Secret Key and unlock both of the hidden secret doors in this intense mission.

How to Get the Secret Key in Chapter 7

About halfway through the chapter, you’ll enter a fiery area with a combat arena — flames, chaos, the whole deal. After clearing out all the enemies, you’ll notice the Secret Key floating above the courtyard’s center. But how do you get to it? Also Check Chapter 6 Secret Key Guide.

Step-by-Step: Getting the Chapter 7 Secret Key

1. Follow the Mission Path:
   Keep heading toward the next objective marker. Enter the building nearby and take out the wave of demons waiting for you. Doing so will unlock a path upward.
   
2. Head to the Upper Level:
   Climb the stairs after defeating the enemies, and you’ll end up on the upper floor overlooking the same courtyard you just fought in.
   
3. Spot the Jump Pad:
   Look to your right across the ledge — you’ll see the Secret Key across from a Jump Pad.
   
4. Find the Hidden Route:
   Continue moving forward toward the next mission marker. When the hallway forks, ignore the path to the left (which has a few Armor pickups). Instead, turn right and use a Shield Charge to break through the weak wall.
   
5. Enter the Secret Area:
   Inside, you’ll find a stash of Gold pickups — and the Jump Pad that lets you reach the Secret Key.
   

⚠️ Heads up: There’s an invisible Imp lurking in this secret spot. Use your Saw Shield to reveal and stun it, then finish it off before it gets the jump on you.

All Secret Doors in Chapter 7: The Siege Part II

Once you’ve got the key, there are two secret doors nearby just waiting to be opened:

1. Ground Floor Courtyard Door
   
   • Located right below the floating Secret Key. Head to the opposite side of the courtyard on the ground level to find the door.
     
   • What’s Inside: A Ruby, a surprise Mancubus fight, and a handy shortcut that lets you return to the upper courtyard level.
     
2. Stairway Secret Door
   
   • Face the building you went through to reach the upper level. On the right side of the stairs leading into that building, you’ll spot another hidden door.
     
   • What’s Inside: A pile of gold drops and a new Codex entry titled “Siege Part II”.
     

And that’s it — Secret Key snagged, both doors opened, and some awesome loot added to your arsenal. You’re now one step closer to mastering DOOM The Dark Ages. Keep going, Slayer.
