Discover every collectible in Chapter 1 of DOOM: The Dark Ages, including Life Sigils, Codex Entries, Toys, and a Weapon Skin hidden throughout the Village of Khalim.

Even though Chapter 1 of DOOM: The Dark Ages is just the beginning, it doesn’t go easy on collectible hunters. The Village of Khalim is packed with hidden areas, power-ups, and lore bits waiting to be uncovered. While you won’t find Gold or Demonic Essence yet, there’s still plenty to snag: Life Sigils, Codex Entries, Toys, and a Weapon Skin.

This guide will walk you through where to find every collectible in Chapter 1, including how to access all secret areas along the way. Also Check all Chapter List.

💠 All Life Sigils in Chapter 1

🔹 Life Sigil #1 – Secret Area 1

Right after melee training, head into a burning building. Look left of the climbable wall for a destructible wall. Shield Charge through it, and you’ll find the Life Sigil immediately on your left.

🔹 Life Sigil #2 – Secret Area 2

After a big combat arena, you’ll spot a locked door with a purple seal. Continue past it toward the next objective until you find a Jump Pad near a monolith. Launch across the gap, clear out the enemies, and the nearby sealed door will unlock. Head inside to grab the second Sigil.

🔹 Life Sigil #3 – Secret Area 3

Still in the Jump Pad zone? Follow the trail of armor and ammo pickups to a higher ledge and defeat the enemies. This leads to the Secret Key, which you can use on the purple seal door from earlier. Inside, you’ll find the third Life Sigil.

📘 Codex Entry #1 – Doom Slayer

Behind the Secret Key door, head to the monolith area. Look for a climbable wall behind a large rock formation. Keep ascending until you find the codex at the top overlooking the area.

📘 Codex Entry #2 – Village of Khalim (Secret Area 6)

Near the chapter’s end, you’ll drop into a beach arena. After clearing the demons, follow the trail of armor pickups leading from the beach into a small crevasse. Look to the right for a climbable wall and climb up to find this codex and two ammo pickups.

🧸 All Toy Collectibles in Chapter 1

🧩 Secret Toy #1 – Imp

After the “Point of No Return” halfway through the chapter, you’ll enter a combat arena. Once you get the Blue Key, return here and look for a downward path on your map. Go through the archway, turn right, and use the Blue Key to unlock a door hiding the Imp toy.

🧩 Secret Toy #2 – Soldier (Secret Area 4)

Near the Secret Key door, take the Jump Pad behind it to a platform underneath. Once you close the nearby portal, turn around and look down over the ledge. Jump carefully to the lower platform to find a secret cave containing ammo—and the Soldier toy.

🔫 All Weapon Skins in Chapter 1

🎯 Nightmare Combat Shotgun Skin (Secret Area 5)

After closing the fourth demonic portal and watching the cutscene of a door opening, head to the cliff opposite the portal. There’s a hidden lower level—drop carefully to reach it. Once inside, defeat the spawning demons to remove the barrier and unlock the Nightmare skin for your Combat Shotgun.
