Black Ops 6 Finally Addresses Its ‘Pay-to-Win’ Terminator Skin

Black Ops 6 addresses its pay-to-win controversy with a visibility update to the T-800 skin, but players say the changes are barely noticeable.
After weeks of complaints, Black Ops 6 and Warzone have finally dropped an update aimed at fixing the visibility issues with the T-800 Endo Titanium Core skin.
Players have been calling it out for being too tough to see in darker areas—kind of like déjà vu from the days of the infamous Roze skin in Modern Warfare and Warzone.
That all-black Roze design became a nightmare to deal with in shadowy corners, and now the Terminator-inspired T-800 skin has been catching heat for the same reason.

Funny enough, the return of Verdansk in Black Ops 6 Season 3 brought Roze back too—but this time around, she’s been given a more noticeable redesign and a pretty steep $30 price tag.
Now going by R0-Z3, the new Roze isn’t stirring up the same visibility issues as before. The T-800’s Endo Titanium Core skin, though? That’s a different story.
This slick, metallic look is part of a premium Terminator bundle, and while it definitely looks badass, its dark tones make it blend a little too well into the background.
Because it’s a paid cosmetic, it hasn’t been as widespread a problem as the original Roze skin—but it’s still caused plenty of headaches for players unlucky enough to face off against it. That’s led to it getting labeled as a bit of a “pay-to-win” situation.

As of today, April 8, both Black Ops 6 and Warzone got an update that tweaks the skin to help fix that. “The T-800 Operator has received a visibility adjustment to ease target identification for the Endo Titanium Core skin,” according to the latest patch notes.
That said, early looks at the skin post-update aren’t super promising. Content creator ‘HunterTV’ shared a comparison showing that the difference is pretty subtle—and yeah, it still seems like spotting a T-800 isn’t going to be easy.
Since it’s a paid crossover skin, the devs were always going to be careful with any major changes—gotta keep the folks who shelled out for it happy.
Still, I expected a little more of a difference based on how many people were frustrated by it. If the feedback keeps rolling in, we might see another update in the future.
