Black Ops 6’s New Blade Launcher is Here – But is it Worth Using?
Black Ops 6 finally got a cool new secondary weapon, and the D1.3 Sector is exactly what fans have been waiting for! Before this, BO6 only had some basic pistols and a couple of launchers. Season 1 tried to mix things up with the Siri 9mm, which played more like an SMG.
Sounds awesome, right? Well… not really. It wasn’t fast enough to keep up with top-tier SMGs, so it didn’t become a favorite in multiplayer or Warzone. That said, it did turn out to be a beast in Zombies mode thanks to its high damage and crazy mobility.
So, for a while, the Grekhova was the only solid secondary weapon for other game modes. But now, Season 2 Reloaded has changed the game by introducing the D1.3 Sector – a blade-launching monster that actually gives players a reason to shake up their loadouts.

How to Unlock the D1.3 Sector
Want to get your hands on this bad boy? Here’s how:
🔓 Earn 370,000 XP in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event (Feb 27 – March 13, 2025).
Fastest ways to grind XP:
🔥 Multiplayer – Use a Double XP token and play Small Map Moshpit or Bullet 24/7 for nonstop action and tons of eliminations.
💰 Warzone – Jump into Plunder Quads where you can respawn, grab your loadout weapons, and keep farming XP.
Is the D1.3 Sector Worth Using?
Alright, so let’s talk power. The D1.3 Sector is a blade launcher with only a few attachment slots (Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, and Stock), but it hits like a truck.
💥 Base Damage: 150 per shot from ANY range.
It comes with two wild ammo choices, but are they actually good? Let’s break it down:
🔸 Explosive Blades – Blades explode on impact and do extra damage to Scorestreaks, but… they lower your fire rate, mag size, and overall damage. The blast radius isn’t huge, either.
🔹 Ricochet Blades – These bounce off walls, which is fun for trick shots, but the damage drops from 150 to 75, making them way less effective.
Verdict? Don’t bother with Magazines. Just stick to the default blades for one-shot kills from any range!

Multiplayer vs. Warzone – How Does It Perform?
✅ In Multiplayer – Easily one of the best secondary weapons! One shot = instant kill from anywhere. But be careful… the slow fire rate and reload time mean missing a shot can cost you.
❌ In Warzone – It’s a different story.
- Explosive Blades = 2 direct hits or 3 within blast range.
- Ricochet Blades = 4 hits to kill (which is way too many).
- No Mag attachment? Still a 2-shot kill from any range (so stick with it!).
The D1.3 Sector is definitely fun, but in Warzone, it’s not the best because of how slow it is compared to most other weapons.
If you love trying new, unique weapons, the D1.3 Sector is a blast (literally). It’s great in multiplayer, but in Warzone, you might want to stick to faster-killing weapons. Still, there’s nothing quite like launching blades at enemies and watching them drop!
