How to Unlock Fast Travel in DK Bananza
Here is your how to guide to Unlock fast travel in Donkey Kong Bananza
Total Time: 2 minutes
Step 1: Beat Peekabruiser
Your first real step to unlocking Teeleporting is to knock the stuffing out of Peekabruiser, one of the early bosses. You’ll know it when you see it — big, annoying, and full of attitude.
Step 2: Talk to the Blue Eel
After Peekabruiser’s done being dramatic, you’ll notice a suspicious-looking blue eel chilling near the sinkhole to the Hilltop Layer. Go chat it up.
That eel’s your new best friend. It unlocks the Teeleport system, aka your golden ticket to instant travel.
How to Use Fast Travel (Within the Same Layer)
Once fast travel is unlocked:
- Press the – button to open your map.
- Use the left/right D-pad to scroll through available Teeleport locations.
- Found the one you want? Smash that A button to Teeleport DK like a jungle wizard.
⚠️ Heads-up: You can only fast travel to locations you’ve already visited. So explore first, warp later.

How to Fast Travel Between Layers
This part’s a little different. You can’t just flip through the map and jump between major layers like you’re changing playlists.
Instead:
Step 1: Find a Warp Gong
Each layer has a Warp Gong — big, round, and smackable.
Step 2: Punch It
No, seriously. Punch the gong. That’s how DK says “excuse me” in this world.
Step 3: Mother Eel Arrives
The big mama eel will swoop in like a mythical Uber and offer you a ride to any layer you’ve already unlocked.
Select your destination and press A to bounce outta there.
Bonus Tip: Once you’ve used a Warp Gong in a layer at least once, you can fast travel directly to it via the map. Handy for layer-hopping without the long trek.
