Genshin Impact 5.6 First Half Banners Revealed: Navia, Escoffier, and More Join the Party
Genshin Impact has just confirmed the lineup for the first half of Version 5.6, and fans have a lot to be excited about. Leading the charge are Navia and Escoffier, with Layla, Ororon, and Ifa joining the mix. This update may focus on the Traveler’s return to Mondstadt, but the flagship event is all about Fontaine, where familiar faces like Navia and Furina are finally crossing paths with Natlan characters for the first time.
During this event, players will meet characters like Kinich, Ifa, and Ororon as they get caught up in a story that also pulls Neuvillette and Wriothesley back into the spotlight. It’s not just a fun crossover — it’s tightly connected to the Event Banners of Version 5.6, making it easier for players to get invested in both the gameplay and the narrative.
Another big addition in Version 5.6 is the new Chronicled Banner, which this time focuses on a variety of Inazuma characters. For those who prefer Ayaka over the soon-to-arrive Skirk, this is a prime chance to build out a premium Freeze team with Ayaka and Escoffier. Meanwhile, Navia continues to dominate as a strong Geo hypercarry that fits comfortably within the current meta.
The official Genshin Impact Reddit account dropped the first-half banner lineup, giving players a heads-up on the 4-Stars rolling in with Escoffier and Navia. Ifa’s inclusion was already known, but Layla and Ororon are solid surprise picks. Layla still shines as one of the most reliable Shield Supports out there, while Ororon brings killer synergy with Ifa and stands tall as a top-tier Electro off-field DPS.
Version 5.6 First-Half Banner Lineup:
- Escoffier – 5-Star Cryo Polearm
- Navia – 5-Star Geo Claymore
- Layla – 5-Star Cryo Sword
- Ororon – 5-Star Electro Bow
- Ifa – 5-Star Anemo Catalyst
Thanks to early datamining, we also have the second-half banner details. Kinich and Raiden Shogun will headline that phase, backed by Thoma, Sara, and Lynette. Synergy-wise, Kinich pairs perfectly with Thoma for shielding, while Sara remains a tried-and-true support for Raiden.
Still, if you’re looking for a solid long-term pull, Escoffier might be the best bet. Not only can she slot right into Skirk’s future team in Version 5.7, but she’s also ideal for supporting any potential Cryo or Hydro hypercarry down the line.
Cryo’s been struggling in the meta lately, and players are hoping that Escoffier — alongside Skirk — will breathe some life back into the element. The stats look promising, but as always, the gameplay will be the real test.
