GTA 6 Graphics Spark Major Concerns Among Xbox Series S Players

After Rockstar’s jaw-dropping GTA 6 trailer, Xbox Series S owners are voicing concerns over whether the budget console can handle the game’s demanding visuals.

GTA 6 Trailer Has Xbox Series S Owners Worried About Performance Issues

Rockstar just dropped another GTA 6 trailer on April 6, and while fans were blown away by the insane graphics, it’s sparked some real panic among Xbox Series S players.

The trailer showed off mind-blowing visual details — from photoreal lighting and reflections to beer bottles with actual bubbling physics. It even revealed that all of it was captured on a base PS5. Naturally, this left PlayStation fans hyped and PC gamers curious about how far their setups can push the game.

But for Xbox Series S owners? The vibe is more “uh-oh” than excitement.

Why Series S Players Are Freaking Out

Let’s be real — the Series S is the budget console in Microsoft’s lineup. It doesn’t support native 4K, has a less powerful GPU and CPU compared to the PS5, and only comes with 512GB of internal storage. That’s not exactly ideal for a game as massive and graphically intense as GTA 6.

One fan on X summed up the mood:

“I’m dying to know how GTA 6 looks on Series S. If it’s ONLY 30FPS on PS5 and Series X… what compromises have they taken to make it run on the S?”

Another joked:

“Series S owners should be charged with crimes against gaming. That little potato is going to explode the second you click play on GTA 6.”

The concern isn’t just about resolution or frame rates — it’s also about the overall experience. A lot of players worry that the S will have to make major visual sacrifices or longer load times just to run the game at all.

Storage Could Be Another Headache

Beyond performance, there’s also the issue of space. Red Dead Redemption 2 already hit 120GB on PS5, and GTA 6 is expected to be even bigger. With only 512GB of storage on the Series S (and even less usable), players might have to uninstall multiple games or grab an external SSD just to make room.

We won’t know exactly how GTA 6 performs on the Series S until it drops on May 26, 2026, but the concerns are real — and honestly, kind of valid. Rockstar hasn’t said anything yet about Series S optimization, but fingers crossed they pull off some magic under the hood.

Until then, maybe start clearing up some space — just in case.
