GTA 6 Trailer Easter Egg Hints at Return of Michael’s Yacht from GTA 5

Fans believe Michael’s iconic boat from GTA 5 makes a surprise appearance in the second GTA 6 trailer — and it could hint at more crossover content.
GTA 6 Fans Think Michael’s Yacht from GTA 5 Appears in New Trailer — and the Clues Are Strong
The second GTA 6 trailer has fans doing what they do best: pausing every frame, zooming into the background, and hunting for clues. While Rockstar kept plot and character details under wraps, one Easter Egg in particular has people buzzing — and it’s got everything to do with Michael’s infamous yacht.
Yeah, that boat. The one that kicks off one of GTA 5’s early missions and later becomes the butt of several jokes as Michael reflects on his not-so-glorious parenting moments.
The Yacht Reappears?
In the trailer, there’s a brief shot where Jason is talking to Brian about collecting money. In the far right corner, eagle-eyed fans noticed a white yacht with a blue stripe, perched on a stand. Sound familiar? It’s nearly identical to Michael’s stolen pride and joy from GTA 5.
The fan reaction was immediate:
“That’s gotta be his boat, it would just be poetic if the new protagonist ends up with it.”
“Imagine Jason just casually saying he bought it from a guy in Los Santos who said he stole it from some fat kid.”
Even Ned Luke, Michael’s voice actor, joined the fun. He replied to the fan speculation with a cheeky:
“I’m coming Jason… For my boat.”
Could This Mean Michael’s in GTA 6?
Right now, there’s no official confirmation that GTA 5’s main trio — Michael, Trevor, or Franklin — will appear in GTA 6. But Rockstar loves its interconnected universe, and a crossover isn’t out of the question. This yacht could simply be an Easter Egg, or it might be a soft tease that Michael will at least be referenced — if not appear outright.
Even if he doesn’t show up, including his yacht is a clever way to bridge the gap between games. It’s also a nod to long-time fans who’ve been hoping for continuity across the GTA universe.
Just a Tease… For Now
Whether or not this really is Michael’s old boat, the visual callback is clear — and Rockstar knows exactly what it’s doing. With GTA 6 set to release in May 2026, there’s still a long way to go. But little moments like this make the wait that much more exciting.
And hey, maybe Michael finally gets his yacht back. Or maybe Jason turns it into a floating bar in Vice City. Either way, we’re here for it.
