Keep Moving & Don’t Be Stingy with Stampedes
Your goal here is straightforward: keep moving forward and take the right turn near the end—it’s literally the only way to go. And pro tip: don’t hold back on using those Stampedes. The mountain is packed with blue flowers to refill your Stampede meter, plus red flowers that automatically trigger Stampedes for you. Spam that boost!

Hidden Decoration & Harness Achievement
At the top of the slope, before taking the right turn, peek to your left for a Decoration chillin’ on a ledge.
Climb up, and you’ll meet a new Calicorn. Right next to it is a Harness—grab it to unlock the Fabulous achievement (decorate a Calicorn with a harness, easy flex).
Nearby, interact with a glowing blue totem to spawn yellow flowers down the main path. Collect these to reveal a painting and raise a circular platform to cross a gap.
Inside the Tower & More Paintings
Lead your herd inside the tower-like structure through the raised platform. Interact with another totem inside to spawn more yellow flowers. Gather them all to reveal a painting and unlock a new path.
Follow this path to find another Decoration, then climb to the top of the slope.
Bridge to the Mountain Peak & Decorations
Cross the long bridge to the mountain peak where you’ll find two more Decorations waiting for you.
Follow the mountain’s contour path until you reach bird alarm totems—you know the drill, avoid triggering those angry birds!
Bird Totems & Wild Calicorn
A wild Calicorn will run out and accidentally trigger one of the totems, alerting the bird—but don’t worry, no attacks on you here. Heal and tame this Calicorn to add to your herd.
Choose to go right or left around the totems. The right path is a bit easier.
Resting Spot & Fun Ball Achievement
Next up is a Resting Spot, but you’ll need to activate a big guardian totem first. Push the blue-marked tree log with your herd to raise the totem and scare off the birds.
Here, you can clean your Calicorns and find more Decorations and a Harness.

Gather wood, rest up, then the next day yellow flowers will appear. Collect and reveal the painting on the blank mural to raise another circular platform.
Final Bird Totems & Chase Scene
This next area has more bird totems but is friendlier than past sections—take it slow.
Eventually, you’ll face an obstacle in the middle of the path. Pick left or right to go around. Watch out for a patch of blue flowers hiding more bird totems.
Going through the blue flowers triggers a chase scene with multiple birds trying to attack your Calicorns when you’re not stampeding. Thankfully, plenty of blue and red flowers help you keep the birds at bay if you use them wisely.
Pro Tips for the Chase:
- Maneuver your Calicorn herd carefully—the wind effects make tight control tricky, so give sparse and strategic directions.
- Watch for birds landing ahead trying to intercept—anticipate their moves or do quick turns to dodge.
- Near the narrow path at the end, be extra cautious. The camera angles can screw you over, making it easy to get caught by a surprise bird attack.
Chapter Complete & Achievement
At the end, a bird will dive and attack your character, sending you back to wake up alone.
Congrats! You’ve completed Chapter 6 and unlocked the Glacier Valley: Reach the Plateau achievement.
FAQ – Chapter 5 Mountain Plains & Bird Chase
A: Collect yellow flowers spawned by interacting with blue totems. Once you have enough flowers, you can reveal murals by following the on-screen prompts. This opens new paths and unlocks achievements.
A: You’ll find Decorations on a ledge near the top of the slope before the right turn, inside the tower after revealing murals, and near the mountain peak bridge—keep your eyes peeled!
