While roaming around in Mario Kart World‘s Free Roam mode, you might stumble across a special kind of challenge: P-Switches.Â
There are 150 scattered across the map, each tied to a unique mission. One of the trickier ones is found southeast of Cheep Cheep Falls and involves mastering the feather item to reach the goal before the clock runs out.
Sound simple? Not quite. This challenge is all about timing your jumps and hitting every blue ring to gain precious extra seconds. Here’s exactly how to pull it off.

🪶 How to Master the Feather and Reach the Goal
The name of the game here is timing, but you can give yourself a little edge with a cool trick: perform aerial tricks by pressing R while in midair.
This gives you a small speed boost on landing—enough to shave off a few seconds, which can make all the difference.

💨 Step-by-Step Breakdown
1. First Blue Ring:
As you reach the edge of the first platform, use your feather just before driving off. This should launch you perfectly into the first ring.
2. Second Blue Ring:
No feather needed here—just cruise right through it on the ground.
3. Third Blue Ring (Double Feather Time):
This one’s a bit tougher. You’ll need to burn two feathers in a row to reach it. Line yourself up straight and jump early—don’t wait until the last second.

4. Fourth Blue Ring (Launchpad Section):
Hit the red launchpad, and start doing tricks immediately as you’re flung into the air. Once you’re airborne, use both feathers quickly for a big vertical boost. That’ll get you through the fourth ring easily.
5. Fifth Blue Ring:
Similar to the last one, but a bit more forgiving. If you use a feather at the peak of your jump, one should be enough. Still, it doesn’t hurt to use both, since the game gives you two more for clearing the ring anyway.
6. Final Stretch – Flagpole:
Head off the wooden ramp, pop a feather or two midair, and aim for the flagpole. As long as your jump is lined up well, you’re golden.
That’s it! Once you’ve hit all the blue rings and landed at the flag, you’ll have conquered one of Mario Kart World’s more demanding P-Switch challenges.
