Spice-Infused Copper Dust is one of the rarer materials in Dune: Awakening, and it’s essential for crafting some of the game’s most powerful Unique weapons, armor, and tools. If you’re chasing a full Unique gear set, gathering this material should be one of your top priorities.

Unlike many other materials, this one doesn’t spawn randomly—it only appears in specific chests scattered across the map. So if you know where to look, you’re already ahead of the game.

🗺️ Where to Find Spice-Infused Copper Dust

You’ll only find this material in super-large chests that occasionally also contain Unique Schematics. But not every big chest drops the dust—only a select few do.

In Hagga Basin South, there are three confirmed chest locations that spawn Spice-Infused Copper Dust:

1. Wreck of the Alcyon
   
   • 📍 East of the Griffin’s Reach Trading Post
     
   • 💎 Contains Kaleff’s Drinker (Unique Dagger Schematic)
     
2. Imperial Testing Station No. 2
   
   • 📍 Between Griffin’s Reach and the Alcyon wreck
     
   • 💎 Contains The Emperor’s Wings Mk1 (Unique Utility Schematic)
     
3. Old Griffin Hideaway
   
   • 📍 Just west of the Griffin outpost, tucked into the cliffs
     
   • 💎 Contains Way of the Fallen (Unique Gun Schematic)

Yes! These chests respawn every ~45 minutes, including both the Copper Dust and the Unique Schematic.

Here’s how to make the most of it:

• After looting a chest, mark its location
  
• Come back after the respawn window to grab more
  
• Rotate through all three for a steady supply of Dust and Schematics
  

🛠️ How to Use Spice-Infused Copper Dust

Once you’ve got some Dust and a Schematic, here’s how to use them:

1. Research the Schematic
   
   • Open your inventory and select the Unique Schematic
     
   • Choose “Research” to unlock the item blueprint
     
2. Go to a Fabricator at your base
   
   • You’ll need the matching Imperial Permit to craft the item
     
   • As long as your Dust is stored anywhere inside your base, the Fabricator will detect it—no need to carry it
     
3. Craft the Unique item
   
   • Once crafted, both the Schematic and the Permit are consumed
     

🔁 Want another copy of that Unique item? You’ll have to re-loot the chest, re-research the Schematic, and get another Permit.
