How to Get Calcium in StarRupture
Learn where to find Calcium in StarRupture with our guide. Discover ore deposit locations near water, setup extraction systems, and farm this essential resource efficiently.
So you’ve been cruising through StarRupture and the corporations are breathing down your neck for more materials. Titanium and Wolfram were easy enough since they’re practically sitting on your doorstep but now they want Calcium and you’re standing there like “uh… where, where, where?”
Don’t sweat it. Calcium takes a bit more exploring to find, but once you know what you’re looking for, you’ll be shipping it off to those greedy corps in no time.

Finding Calcium Ore Deposits
The good news is Calcium ore deposits aren’t exactly hiding from you. They’ve got a distinct pale, almost whitish color that stands out from the usual rocky terrain. Here’s what you need to know:
Where to Look:
- Near water sources – this is your best bet
- Look for pale-colored rock formations that are lighter than everything else around them
- Head east from your starting base (worked for me, at least)
The pale color is really the dead giveaway here. Once you spot that lighter rock, you’ve hit the jackpot. Just make sure you’re not confusing it with Titanium ore, which has more of a silvery-gray vibe going on.
Setting Up Your Extraction Operation
Found a deposit? Awesome. Now let’s turn it into a proper mining operation:
- Drop an Extractor right on top of the calcium vein
- Connect it to an Orbital Cargo Launcher using rails
- Hook up power – throw down some solar generators nearby
- Let the automation do its thing
Quick tip: Power spreads between the buildings that are touching each other, so you don’t always need rails for that. But rails work too if you’re spacing things out.
Once everything is connected, the calcium will automatically get harvested and sent off. If you need some for crafting recipes yourself, just interact with the extractor and yoink what you need straight from the machine.

The Manual Method – Surface Calcium
Not ready to setup a whole extraction system yet? No problem. You’ll find small white orbs of calcium scattered across Arcadia-7’s surface. They’re pretty easy to spot once you know what you’re looking for.
Just aim your tool at these little calcium balls and fire away. They’ll break apart and drop about 3-4 calcium pieces each that go straight into your inventory. It’s not gonna make you rich, but it’s honest work and adds up over time.
This method is great when you’re still exploring and unlocking the map since you’ll stumble across these orbs naturally.

Don’t Mix It Up With Titanium
Here’s where people mess up – Calcium and Titanium ore can look kinda similar at first glance. Both are lighter colored than most rock. But calcium is distinctly whiter/paler, while titanium leans more silvery-gray. Take a second to double-check before you start building extractors everywhere.
Tips for Efficient Calcium Farming
- Prioritize ore deposits over surface orbs – way more efficient
- Set up multiple extractors if you find several deposits
- Keep your power grid organized – nothing worse than running out of juice mid-extraction
- Use Data Points to unlock better extraction tech if available
- Stock up early – corporate quotas only get bigger
The sooner you get a solid calcium operation running, the easier those mid-game progression hurdles become. Trust me on this one.
FAQs
Where exactly do I find Calcium ore deposits in StarRupture?
Calcium deposits spawn near water sources and appear as pale, whitish-colored rock formations. They’re lighter in color than regular terrain. Try heading east from your starting base and keep an eye out for these distinct pale rocks – they really stand out once you know what you’re looking for.
What’s the fastest way to farm Calcium?
Setting up extractors on calcium ore deposits is way faster than collecting surface orbs manually. Once you’ve got an extractor connected to power and an Orbital Cargo Launcher with rails, it basically runs itself. Surface orbs only give you 3-4 calcium each, while deposits keep producing.
How do I tell the diffrence between Calcium and Titanium ore?
Calcium ore is distinctly pale white, while Titanium has a more silvery-gray appearance. They can look similar from a distance, but calcium is noticeably lighter and whiter. Double-check before setting up extraction equipment to avoid wasting time on the wrong resource.
Can I take Calcium directly from the extractor for crafting?
Yep! Just walk up to your ore extractor and interact with it. You can pull calcium ore directly from the machine into your inventory whenever you need it for crafting. The rest will continue getting sent to your Orbital Cargo Launcher automatically.
Calcium might require a bit more legwork than your starter materials, but it’s not complicated once you’ve got the system down. Look for pale rock near water, drop an extractor, connect the rails, and you’re golden. Grab those surface orbs when you see them too – free calcium is free calcium.
