Mario Kart World is packed with secrets, and if you’re aiming for 100% completion, you’ll need to dig a little deeper—especially when it comes to unlocking the game’s 4 hidden tracks.

With 32 total tracks, that means 28 are available through regular play, and the final 4 are locked behind specific requirements.

Here’s how to unlock each of the 4 secret tracks so you can enjoy the full Mario Kart World experience.

Acorn Heights is the first secret track you’ll unlock, and it’s part of the Special Cup. To unlock it:

  • Complete all 7 Grand Prix Cups, which covers 28 races in total.
  • Your placement doesn’t matter—just finish all the races.

Once that’s done, Acorn Heights will unlock automatically in the Special Cup.

And finally, the one everyone’s waiting for—Rainbow Road.

  • Rainbow Road is the final track in the Special Cup and also becomes available in VS Race mode.
  • To unlock it, you must complete all 7 Grand Prix Cups—that’s the key.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll unlock this legendary track as the 32nd and final race in the game.

If you’re chasing 100% completion in Mario Kart World, unlocking these 4 tracks is a major step. The best part? You don’t have to win every race—just finish them.
