Unlock your true strength in Blades of Fire by mastering the Forge of the Gods. Learn how to craft stronger weapons, earn more Forge Stars, and dominate epic enemies like Trolls and Warmongers.
Mastering the Forge in Blades of Fire
Blades of Fire is an action-adventure game that’s got serious Dark Souls and God of War vibes. While you can boost Aran’s health and stamina, the real power lies in his weapons.
When you find an Anvil, Aran can warp to the legendary Forge of the Gods to turn raw materials like iron into sacred steel.
Forget traditional leveling up — in Blades of Fire, your strength comes from your gear. To take down tough foes like Trolls and Warmongers, you’ll need to forge better weapons using higher-grade materials.
The stronger the steel, the deadlier the weapon. And every time you forge, you earn Forge Stars, which determine how many times that weapon can be repaired before it’s toast.
The better the weapon you craft, the more stars you get — so you’ll want to master the forging process. Also check how to unlock more weapons and forge scrolls.
Gathering Materials for the Forge
Before you even step foot in the Forge, you’ll need to collect some basics like iron and coal. Iron is crafted into four types of steel: Primordial, Noble, Arcane, and Epic. As the steel gets more powerful, you’ll need to burn through more coal to reach the blazing temperatures required.

You’ll find these upgraded materials as you explore the world and take down stronger enemies. But don’t worry — even with basic resources, you can still make solid weapons that earn good Forge Stars.
How to Forge Better Weapons
Some weapons are easier to perfect than others, but to start, head to an Anvil and transport to the Forge of the Gods. From there, pick a weapon using the Forge Scrolls you’ve unlocked.
Now comes the fun part — customizing. The Weapon Panel will show how your chosen materials impact the blade’s stats: slashing, piercing, weight, durability, and stamina cost. Once everything looks good, it’s hammer time.
Hammering the Steel
You’ll only get a limited number of hammer swings, so use them wisely to shape your blade and rack up Forge Stars. You can adjust the strength and angle of your hits, and the goal is to mold the steel to match the weapon’s outline as closely as possible.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Start hammering from one side and work across.
- Focus on the biggest empty areas first.
- Adjust your swing angle to hit those tricky spots.
- If you mess up and have more than five swings left, reheat the weapon to give yourself another shot at reshaping the steel.
The closer your forged weapon is to the perfect shape, the more Forge Stars you’ll earn.
Why Forge Stars Matter
Weapons degrade during combat — it’s just part of the game. You can repair them at any Anvil, but only a limited number of times. The number of Forge Stars your weapon has is what controls how many repairs it gets. So, the better your crafting skills, the longer your favorite weapon lasts in battle.
Ready to conquer Blades of Fire? Start gathering, shaping, and swinging — and let your steel do the talking.
