Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, bringing Naked Snake’s jungle mission to a new generation with modern graphics and gameplay.

Release Date

According to a leaked Release Date Reveal Trailer, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to release on August 28, 2025. However, until Konami confirms this date, it should be taken with caution.

Trailers

The game has had two major trailers so far:

1. First Gameplay Trailer (June 9, 2024)
   • Revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.

2. Leaked Release Date Trailer
   • Supposedly confirmed the August 28, 2025 release date.
   • Revealed the return of the Ape Escape minigame in Delta.

Gameplay & Story

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater follows FOX operative Naked Snake on a stealth mission in 1964. His mission:

• Rescue Russian scientist Nikolai Stepanovich Sokolov.
• Sabotage an experimental superweapon.
• Assassinate his former mentor, The Boss, who has defected.

The gameplay remains faithful to the classic stealth mechanics, featuring:

• Interrogation and execution features.
• A variety of weapons, including the RPG to destroy helicopters.
• Classic disguises, like Snake’s Alligator suit for stealth movement through swamps.

The trailer amazed fans with its revamped visuals and improved gameplay, staying true to Hideo Kojima’s original vision. However, some players have mixed feelings about Snake’s new appearance.

With successful remakes like Final Fantasy VII, fans hope Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will bring the same magic to the legendary franchise.
