Complete Wild Zone 10 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Find all 7 Pokémon plus 3 Alphas including aggressive Carvanha, rooftop Arbok, Tynamo evolution path, and Night Slash TM location.
Wild Zone 10 is where Pokémon Legends: Z-A starts throwing some genuinely challenging encounters at you. Between a pool full of aggressive Carvanha that jump out of the water to attack, interconnected rooftops with multiple Arbok spawns, and a Level 50 Alpha Arbok that can demolish unprepared teams, this zone demands respect.
I made the mistake of casually strolling through the Carvanha pool on my first visit. That went poorly. Very poorly. Let me help you avoid my mistakes with this complete breakdown of all seven regular Pokémon and three Alpha spawns in Wild Zone 10.
Wild Zone 10 becomes accessible after completing Main Mission 09: Chase that Mysterious Pokémon and obtaining your Mega Ring. This is the standard unlock requirement for most mid-game Wild Zones, including Wild Zone 9.
If you’re stuck on that Rogue Mega Absol fight, check our Rogue Mega battles guide for strategies.
Total Pokémon in Wild Zone 10: 7 regular species + 3 Alpha Pokémon

The complete list:
Layout complexity: Wild Zone 10 features vertical exploration with grassy entrance areas, a dangerous water pool, stairs leading to upper levels, and fully interconnected rooftops. Navigation is more complex than circular zones like Wild Zone 7.
Bonus reward: Night Slash TM hidden near Alpha Arbok!
Slowpoke is the welcoming committee for Wild Zone 10—friendly, slow, and immediately visible when you enter.

Where to find them:
Catching tips:
Evolution paths:
Both evolutions are Water/Psychic-types with solid bulk and Special Attack. Slowking is particularly good for competitive teams. Check our trade evolution guide for details on getting King’s Rock and completing the trade.
Bellsprout shares the entrance grassy area with Slowpoke but positions itself differently.

Where to find them:
Quick evolution opportunity:
Here’s something cool: Bellsprout has one of the fastest complete evolution chains in the zone.
Evolution chain:
If you catch a Bellsprout at level 21 or higher AND you have a Leaf Stone already, you can fully evolve it immediately. Leaf Stones are available at the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue—stock up if you haven’t already.
Victreebel is a Grass/Poison-type with high Attack, making it useful for physical movesets. It’s also featured in our Rogue Mega Victreebel guide as one of the challenging boss fights.
This is where Wild Zone 10 goes from peaceful to chaotic. The Carvanha pool is legitimately dangerous if you’re unprepared.

Where to find them:
Critical survival tips:
Don’t walk around the pool edges casually. Carvanha will leap out of the water and gang up on you. I learned this the hard way when three of them attacked simultaneously and wiped half my team.
Best strategy:
Type advantages:
Evolution: Carvanha evolves into Sharpedo at level 30. Sharpedo has Mega Evolution potential with high Speed and Attack stats, making it excellent for offensive builds. Check our Mega Evolution Tier List for Mega Sharpedo’s ranking.
Tynamo is one of the easiest Pokémon to miss in Wild Zone 10 because its spawn location is tucked away near the zone exit.

Where to find them:
This is a genuinely hidden spawn that many players miss on their first run through the zone. The temptation to go up those first stairs is strong, but resist it until you’ve found Tynamo.
Evolution chain and Mega potential:
Tynamo has one of the more interesting evolution paths in the game:
Big news: Mega Eelektross is one of the new Mega Evolutions added specifically in Pokémon Legends: Z-A!
How to get Eelektrossite:
Eelektross has no weaknesses in its base form (thanks to Levitate negating Ground-type moves in regular games), making it incredibly versatile. Mega Eelektross takes this even further.
Staryu spawns in the upper section of Wild Zone 10, requiring some navigation to reach.

Where to find them:
Evolution and Mega potential:
Evolution: Staryu → Starmie (Water Stone)
Exclusive reward: Starminite (Mega Stone for Starmie) is obtained as a reward for completing Main Mission 34. This is a late-game reward, so you’ll need to progress significantly through the story to get it.
Starmie is a Water/Psychic-type with excellent Speed and Special Attack, making it a top-tier choice for special attacking teams. Mega Starmie presumably enhances these strengths even further.

Watchog marks the beginning of the rooftop exploration section of Wild Zone 10.
Where to find them:
Catching notes:
Watchog doesn’t have any special evolution—it’s the final form of Patrat. It’s mostly a Pokédex filler Pokémon rather than a competitive powerhouse, but you need it for zone completion.
Arbok has multiple spawn points across the interconnected rooftops, making it easier to find than single-spawn Pokémon.

Where to find them:
Navigation tip: Because all rooftops in Wild Zone 10 are interconnected, you can systematically explore the entire rooftop network without repeatedly climbing ladders. Just don’t fall off the edges, or you’ll need to climb back up.
Type advantages:
Arbok is the final evolution of Ekans (evolves at level 22), so you’re catching it in its fully evolved form. It’s a pure Poison-type with decent Attack and Speed.
Related to purple goo: Those purple sludge deposits where Arbok spawns? They’re related to clearing obstacles. Check our purple sludge clearing guide for details on how to remove them using Water or Psychic-type moves.
Alpha Sharpedo is the first of three Alpha Pokémon in Wild Zone 10 and shares the dangerous Carvanha pool.

Where to find it:
Battle strategy:
Alpha Sharpedo is Water/Dark-type, giving it several weaknesses to exploit:
Best counters:
Recommended approach:
Why catch Alpha Sharpedo:
Alpha Watchog is the weakest of the three Alphas in this zone, making it a good warmup fight.

Where to find it:
Battle strategy:
Alpha Watchog is a Normal-type, giving it one major weakness:
Best counter:
Why it’s “relatively weak”:
This is a good Alpha to practice on if you’re new to Alpha battles. It’s not a pushover, but it’s manageable with basic type matchups.
Alpha Arbok is the true challenge of Wild Zone 10. At Level 50, it’s the highest-level Pokémon in the entire zone and can wreck unprepared teams.

Where to find it:
Battle strategy:
Alpha Arbok is a pure Poison-type with high Attack and decent Speed. It hits hard and fast.
Best counters:
Preparation checklist:
Moveset threats:
Pro tip: If Alpha Arbok uses Coil, either hit it with a super-effective move immediately or switch to a defensive Pokémon. Don’t let it stack multiple Coils or it becomes nearly unstoppable.
Why catch Alpha Arbok:
There’s a bonus TM hidden in Wild Zone 10 that many players miss!
Location: Right next to where Alpha Arbok spawns on the central rooftop
How to obtain it:
Night Slash details:
This is worth grabbing even if you don’t plan to use it immediately. TMs are valuable resources, and Night Slash is a solid move for many physical attackers.

Mission Help:
Wild Zone 10 kicked my butt the first time through. I underestimated the Carvanha pool and got swarmed, then barely survived only to stumble into Alpha Arbok unprepared. Level 50 hits different when your team is Level 38-42.
The interconnected rooftops are actually really cool from a design perspective. It creates a sense of exploration without being confusing like some multi-level zones. Finding Tynamo near the exit felt rewarding because it’s genuinely hidden—not just “technically missable” but actually tucked away.
Alpha Arbok remains one of my favorite Alpha battles in the game because it feels genuinely threatening. It’s not just a stat-stick—it has good moves, setup potential with Coil, and punishes mistakes hard.
Also, don’t sleep on Mega Eelektross. It’s one of the new Megas exclusive to Z-A, and having a powerful Electric-type with no weaknesses (in its base form) is incredibly useful for late-game content.
Wild Zone 10 is a significant difficulty spike compared to earlier zones. The Carvanha pool alone requires strategy and preparation, and Alpha Arbok is a genuine boss-tier encounter at Level 50. But the rewards are worth it—Tynamo’s Mega Evolution line, Staryu’s late-game Mega potential, and Sharpedo’s offensive power all pay dividends.
My advice: tackle this zone methodically. Clear the entrance area, handle the Carvanha pool from range with Electric moves, don’t forget Tynamo near the exit, and save Alpha Arbok for last when you’re fully prepared with healing items and proper type matchups.
And grab that Night Slash TM while you’re fighting Alpha Arbok—it’s a quality move for physical attackers.
For official game information, visit the Pokémon Legends website or grab the game from Nintendo’s store.
Now gear up, bring that Electric-type, and conquer Wild Zone 10!
