Complete guide to Wild Zone 11 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Find all 6 regular Pokémon, 2 Alpha spawns, learn how to cross the river, and get TM Psychic with our detailed location maps.
Wild Zone 11 is one of the more unique exploration areas in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, featuring a river that divides the entire zone in two. This water-focused area is home to some genuinely powerful Water-type Pokémon that can seriously upgrade your team—including a rare Gyarados spawn and two formidable Alpha Pokémon.
But here’s the catch: that river running down the middle? You can’t cross it. This trips up a lot of players trying to achieve 100% completion, so let me walk you through exactly where to find all six regular Pokémon, both Alphas, and how to actually navigate this split zone efficiently.
Wild Zone 11 becomes accessible after you reach Rank E by defeating Canari, the Electric-type streamer, during Main Mission 14. Once you’ve completed this mission, you’ll be able to enter the zone and start catching its inhabitants.
If you’re still working through the early game, check out our guide on questioning bystanders at City Hall to progress through the Rank D mission efficiently.
Wild Zone 11 contains six regular Pokémon species and two guaranteed Alpha spawns:

Regular Pokémon:
Alpha Pokémon:
Now let’s break down exactly where to find each one.
Before we dive into specific locations, let’s address the elephant in the room: you cannot cross the water that runs through the middle of Wild Zone 11. Unlike some other games where you might expect to unlock a water-traversal ability, that’s not happening here.
The only way to access both sides of the zone is to:
This can be frustrating if you don’t realize it early, so plan your exploration route accordingly. The good news is that fast travel makes switching between access points much quicker.
Time: Day/Night (always available)

Furfrou has four spawn points in Wild Zone 11:
These Normal-type Pokémon are pretty common, so you shouldn’t have trouble spotting them. Furfrou isn’t particularly strong compared to other options, but if you’re a completionist, you’ll want to grab one.
Time: Day/Night (always available)

Multiple Clauncher spawn swimming in the river that runs through the center of the map. You’ll see them bobbing in the water, and they’re fairly easy to approach and catch.
Clauncher evolves into Clawitzer, which is actually a solid Water-type option if you need one for your team. Speaking of which…
Time: Day/Night
Level: 42
Behavior: Highly aggressive

The Alpha Clawitzer spawns next to the regular Clauncher in the river running through the zone. This one is aggressive and will charge at you if you get too close, so be prepared for a fight.
Critical detail: Alpha Clawitzer knows Ice Beam by default, which is required to complete Main Mission 19. If you’re working through the main story, catching or at least battling this Alpha can save you some time later. Check our guide on how to get Ice Beam for more details.
For tips on handling Alpha Pokémon encounters, see our Alpha Pokémon guide.
Time: Day/Night (always available)

Stunfisk hide in the tall grass on the banks of the river. There are quite a few of them scattered throughout Wild Zone 11, so you’ll likely stumble across multiple spawns while exploring.
These Ground/Electric-types blend into the environment pretty well, so keep your eyes peeled in the grassy areas near the water’s edge.
Time: Day/Night (always available)

Inkay can be found in the water at the far left corner of Wild Zone 11, specifically underneath the bridge. Another Inkay spawns just north of this location.
Evolution tip: Inkay evolves into Malamar at level 30, but there’s a catch—you need to hold your console upside down during the evolution. Yes, really. For a complete walkthrough of this quirky evolution, check our Inkay to Malamar evolution guide.
Time: Day/Night (always available)

Slowpoke spawns on the northern side of Wild Zone 11, which is only accessible by using the northern entrance.
Easy access route:
This northern section is where you’ll also find the Alpha Slowbro, so it’s worth making the trip.
Time: Day/Night
Level: 41
Behavior: Slow to react but very tanky

The Alpha Slowbro rests underneath a tree near the Slowpoke spawns in the northeastern corner of Wild Zone 11. While it’s slow to aggro compared to most Alphas, it’s incredibly tanky once you engage it, so bring some strong attackers.
Bonus item: You’ll find TM Psychic in the bramble vines right next to the Alpha Slowbro, indicated by a yellow glow. If you need help clearing brambles, check our guide on how to remove vines and thorns.
Time: Day/Night (always available)
Rarity: Rare spawn

Gyarados is the trickiest Pokémon to find in Wild Zone 11 because it’s a rare spawn that appears in the middle of the river, near the entrance.
Spawn farming trick:
This saves you from running around searching—just keep fast traveling until you spot the telltale blue serpent in the water.
Gyarados is one of the strongest Pokémon you can catch relatively early, especially once you get its Mega Evolution. Definitely worth the effort to track down.
Here are some strategies to efficiently complete Wild Zone 11:
Plan your route around the river
Use fast travel liberally
Bring the right team
Don’t forget collectibles
Once you’ve caught everything in Wild Zone 11, you’ll want to continue exploring other Wild Zones. Consider checking out:
If you caught that Gyarados, consider working toward its Mega Evolution by consulting our Mega Evolution tier list to see how it stacks up against other options.
Wild Zone 11 might seem complicated with its split layout, but once you understand the river navigation issue, it’s actually one of the more straightforward zones to complete. The rare Gyarados spawn and two Alpha Pokémon make it absolutely worth exploring thoroughly.
The Alpha Clawitzer’s Ice Beam is particularly valuable for story progression, so don’t skip that encounter even if you’re not interested in catching it.
