FuturLab bids farewell to the original PowerWash Simulator with a final free update—Muckingham Files 6—featuring two new clean-up jobs before the sequel launches later this year.

The end of the road has arrived for PowerWash Simulator, as developer FuturLab has released one final free update before turning its full attention to the upcoming sequel.

In a heartfelt message to fans, FuturLab reflected on the unexpectedly massive success of its beloved grime-busting game: “Whether you’ve been with us busting the grime from early access, or hopped aboard the PowerWash hype train somewhere down the line, we’d love to say a huge thank you for enjoying this adventure with us.”

To give the original game a proper send-off, the final content drop — Muckingham Files 6 — is now available across all platforms. It features two new dirt-filled destinations to clean, each adding a fresh spin on familiar locations from the game’s quirky world.

First up is a return to the Muckingham subway station — but don’t worry, this isn’t a retread of that grim tunnel scrub. Instead, you’ll be tackling a thoroughly filthy train, both inside and out. The job promises a satisfying deep clean of the grime-caked vehicle that’s pulled into the station just for your final hose-down.

Then it’s on to Sculpture Park, where you’ll work under the eccentric Darcy d’Arcy to revive a collection of not-so-pristine public art. You’ll be restoring pieces like the towering Monolith and the enigmatic Man of a Thousand Faces — plus yes, a giant gnome, because it wouldn’t be a true PowerWash finale without one.

“We hope you enjoy this final PowerWash Simulator update as much as we have enjoyed creating it,” FuturLab said in its goodbye note. “The team have poured their hearts and souls into creating a world for you all to escape to and clean.”

Alongside the new jobs, the update includes a round of bug fixes (as noted in the patch notes), bringing everything to a tidy close.

But don’t hang up your nozzle just yet — PowerWash Simulator 2 is on the way, with FuturLab promising fresh dirt, new tools, a hub-based HQ system, and even more of the delightfully strange Muckingham lore that fans love. The sequel is expected to arrive later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and potentially Nintendo’s next-gen Switch.

For now, grab your gear, fire up the washer, and enjoy one last blast in the original before the next chapter begins.
