My Strategy for Today
I always start my Quordle games with words that have lots of vowels and common letters. Today I kicked off with AUDIO and STERN across the grid, which gave me a solid foundation to work with.
The Classic mode was pretty straightforward once I got a few letters in place. That first word with the double consonants was a nice giveaway once I had the right letters.
Chill mode lived up to its name – these were more common, everyday words that most people use regularly. Nothing too tricky here, which was a nice break!
Extreme mode definitely earned its name today. Those less common words really made me think, especially the sea creature term and that sticky label word.
Sequence mode had an interesting flow today. Once you get the first word, the others tend to follow a logical pattern, though that last word with all those consonants took me a few extra guesses.

Breaking Down Today’s Words
RHINO – Always love when animal words pop up in word games. Short for rhinoceros, and a solid starter word.
FLUNG – That double consonant at the end can be tricky. It’s the past tense of “fling,” meaning to throw something with force.
JUICY – Perfect word for describing ripe fruit or interesting gossip! The ‘J’ at the beginning might have thrown some people off.
DROVE – Past tense of “drive.” Could refer to driving a car or driving cattle.
CARRY, METAL, FENCE, HAIRY – These Chill mode words were all pretty straightforward everyday terms. Nothing too fancy here.
KRILL – These tiny marine creatures are what blue whales feast on. Definitely the trickiest word in today’s Extreme set.
DECAL – Those removable stickers you see on cars or laptops. The pronunciation might vary depending on where you’re from!
SHARD – A sharp fragment, usually of glass or ceramic. Great word for the final position in Sequence mode.
Tips for Better Quordle Performance
Playing four Wordle-style games at once can be overwhelming, but here are some strategies that help me:
- Start with vowel-heavy words across all four grids
- Look for patterns and common letter combinations
- Don’t focus on one word too long – sometimes the others give you clues
- In Sequence mode, remember that each word builds on the previous ones
- Extreme mode often features less common words, so think outside the box
