Ready to unlock those tricky trophies in Sword of the Sea? This guide shows you exactly where to find all four Trick Attack Areas and how to hit the high scores to earn both achievements.
Whether you’re a completionist or just want to master the game’s movement, we’ve got you covered.
If you manage to find every Trick Attack Area and beat their target scores, you’ll unlock two trophies/achievements, making them well worth the hunt. Here’s where to find every Trick Attack Area across the game.
Veiled Sea – Trick Attack Area #1

- Where to find it:
After the section with the big door locked by chains, take the right path first. Ride along the walls and hit the button that drops all the sand, raising a huge building in the middle (story‑required). From here, head to the left of the building to find the Trick Area. - Score to beat: 8,000 points
Pro tip: focus on chaining wall rides and long flips to rack it up fast.
Lost Grotto – Trick Attack Area #2

- Where to find it:
When you reach the area with four switches hidden across tall buildings, look to the right side for a larger building. Inside here is the Trick Area challenge.
You can also wait until after you’ve restored water to the area — with kelp vines helping traversal — to make reaching it smoother.
- Score to beat: 10,000 points
Frozen Tundra – Trick Attack Area #3

- Where to find it:
After you trigger the first golden bell, you’ll enter a massive icy region where two more bells await. Ride down the slope until you spot the first tower with the second golden bell. Behind and slightly left of this tower is a path leading straight to the Trick Area. - Score to beat: 10,000 points
Style tip: the snowy surfaces here make air time feel higher, so go for extended combos.
I found it easiest to activate the lanterns and then take a running jump from the main island to the first floating platform. Don’t stop to admire the view!
Sacred River – Trick Attack Area #4

- Where to find it:
In the sixth major area, make progress until you start heading up toward the floating island at the top. Along this climb, keep an eye on the right-hand side — you’ll see a smaller floating island.
Light all the lanterns to create floating platforms, which will lead you across to this final Trick Area.
- Score to beat: 10,000 points
Trick Attack Rewards
Beating all of these score targets not only checks them off your completionist list but also earns you:

Sword of the Sea Trick Attack FAQ
Nope! You don’t have to clear every high score in a single playthrough. Once you’ve beaten a Trick Attack challenge, it’s permanently saved to your profile. You can always return later to mop up the rest.
Failing just drops you back to the arena’s starting zone. No penalty, no progress loss — you can retry as many times as you like until you hit the target score. Think of it more as a practice space than a punishing fail-state.
Yes! The Trick Attack Areas are just one piece of Sword of the Sea’s completion tracker. The game is packed with collectibles like glyphs, murals, and hidden arenas, plus bonus environmental puzzles.
