After finishing the First Trial of Aql in Dune: Awakening, your next task is to hunt down a Moisture Sealed Cave to collect Micro-Sandwich Fibers and an EMF Generator. The catch? The game gives you no quest markers, and chances are, you’ve already stumbled into a few of these caves without realizing they were important.
If you didn’t mark them on your map or left key items behind, it’s time to gear up and head back into the dunes — but don’t worry, we’ve got the best nearby spots mapped out for you. Also check Sandbike Guide.

🧭 Where to Find Moisture Sealed Caves (Hagga Basin South)
You’re looking for orange cave markers on the map — these represent Moisture Sealed Caves. The two most accessible caves near the First Trial of Aql are:
📍 Southwatch Shelter
- Location: Southwest of the Trial cave (Minha Cavern)
- Tip: Tucked into a cliffside, so keep an eye out while scanning rocky walls.
📍 Vents of Eifrit
- Location: Directly south of the Trial
- Tip: The entrance is on the eastern slope of the nearby mountain.
Both of these caves are super close to where the trial takes place, so it’s way more efficient to focus on this area instead of roaming the desert.

🧱 What to Expect Inside Moisture Sealed Caves
When you enter one of these caves, your goal is to collect:
- 6x Micro-Sandwich Fiber
- 1x EMF Generator
🔹 Where to Look:
- Neon Blue Chests – These are scattered throughout the cave and contain most of the quest items. They’re easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled for a faint glow.
- Scavenger Enemies – Take them out, drain their blood, and loot anything useful. You might also find Fremen Components this way.
💡 Pro Tip:
- Every time you cut a Moisture Seal, you automatically get 2x Micro-Sandwich Fibers.
- If the cave has two entrances, both sealed, you can walk out with 4 of the 6 Fibers needed just from opening doors.
💧 Bonus: Grab a Literjon
While exploring, you might find a Literjon in a chest. These are containers for storing water from Blood Purifiers. Don’t forget to fill it up when you’re back at your base — water is everything on Arrakis.
🏁 Final Tips
- If you already found a cave before getting the quest, double-check your storage back at base — you might already have the quest items.
- Don’t wander aimlessly — the two caves listed above are all you need for this part of the quest.
- Mark important cave locations on your map going forward — you’ll thank yourself later.
