- Sets include everything needed for a complete look (outfit, accessories, sometimes hairstyle). However, some sets require purchasing the outfit and hairstyle separately.
- Outfits are standalone pieces that don’t belong to a set.
- Hairstyles can be mixed and matched with any outfit, giving you flexibility.
- Solemn Echo banner items are technically free since you can earn Echo Jade through exploration and leveling. You don’t have to spend real money to pull on the permanent banner.

Hairstyles work independently from outfits, so you can mix and match freely.
Starter Hairstyles (1–12)
During character creation, you pick one of twelve starter hairstyles. But here’s the thing—you can unlock all of them for free.
How to get the remaining starter hairstyles:
- Head to the house south of the Blissful Retreat waypoint
- Find the bronze mirror inside
- Use the “comb hair” interaction

Tips for Cosmetic Collectors
If you’re trying to unlock everything, here are some efficient approaches:
Prioritize exploration. Reaching exploration level 5 in Qinghe and Kaifeng nets you two complete sets. You’ll naturally progress toward this while doing quests and hunting Oddities for Melodies of Peace.
Don’t sleep on the bronze mirror. Two free hairstyle unlocks per day adds up. Visit Blissful Retreat regularly until you have all twelve starters.
Save your Echo Jade. The Solemn Echo banner has four sets and two standalone cosmetics. Since you earn Echo Jade through normal play, you can eventually pull everything without spending money—just be patient.
Pick a sect strategically. If fashion matters to you, preview each sect’s exclusive set before committing. You can only join one at a time, and some sets fit certain aesthetics better than others.
