Another Friday, another Wordle challenge! If you’re scratching your head over puzzle 1533, you’re definitely not alone. Today’s word had me stumped for a bit, but don’t worry – I’ve got you covered with some solid hints and the complete solution.
Hints to Help You Solve It
Before revealing the answer, here are some clues that might help you figure it out on your own:
Hint 1: This word means to make someone really happy or excited Hint 2: It starts with the letter ‘E’ and ends with ‘E’ Hint 3: Think about how you feel when you get great news Hint 4: It has two vowels – both E’s Hint 5: It’s something good news tends to do to your mood
My Solution Strategy
Here’s exactly how I tackled Wordle 1533 today:

First guess: AUDIO Started with my usual vowel-heavy opener. Got one yellow letter – the ‘A’ was in the word but wrong spot.
Second guess: LEAVE Wanted to test more vowels and common letters. This gave me the ‘E’ in the right position at the end, plus confirmed the ‘A’ belonged somewhere in the middle.
Third guess: LEASE Building on what I learned, I tried another word with ‘E’ at the end and ‘A’ in a different middle position. Got the ‘L’ and both ‘E’s in the right spots!
Fourth guess: ELATE With the pattern _LATE and knowing there was an ‘E’ at the start, ELATE was the obvious choice. Bingo!
Today’s Answer (Spoiler Alert!)
Wordle 1533 answer is: ELATE
Why ELATE Makes Perfect Sense
ELATE is one of those words we use pretty regularly in conversation. When something makes you really happy or excited, it elates you. Think about getting that promotion at work, your favorite team winning, or finding out you’re going on vacation – all things that would elate you.
The word comes from Latin and has been part of English for centuries. It’s common enough that most people know it, but not so obvious that it jumps out as a Wordle answer immediately.
Tips for Future Puzzles
Today’s puzzle reminded me of a few key Wordle strategies:
- Always start with vowel-heavy words to map out the vowel pattern
- Pay attention to letter positioning – yellow letters are just as valuable as green ones
- Don’t forget about words that start and end with the same letter
- Think about emotional or descriptive words – they show up in Wordle quite often

Wrapping Up
ELATE might not have been the trickiest Wordle we’ve seen, but it definitely required some strategic thinking. The double ‘E’ pattern can throw you off if you’re not careful, and placing that ‘A’ correctly took a few tries.
How did you do with today’s puzzle? Did you solve it faster than my four guesses, or did it take you a few more tries? Either way, you’ve got another day’s streak under your belt!
See you tomorrow for Wordle 1534 – let’s hope it’s a bit more straightforward!
