Overview
Verina is a 5-Star Spectro Rectifier Healer and Support character available on the Standard Banner, making her accessible to every player in Wuthering Waves. She is the game’s premier standard-banner healer and one of the most universally applicable support units across all team compositions through Version 3.1 — usable in virtually every team that does not run Shorekeeper. Her core identity is twofold: she provides comprehensive team healing through multiple sources (Forte Circuit, Resonance Liberation Coordinated Attacks, Outro Skill, and off-field Photosynthesis Marks), while simultaneously delivering some of the highest team-wide damage amplification buffs available from any standard-banner character.
Her defining mechanic is the Photosynthesis Energy system — a Forte Circuit gauge that stacks up to 4 charges via Basic Attack Stage 5, Resonance Skill, or Intro Skill. Each charge enables a Starflower Blooms Heavy or Mid-air Attack, which simultaneously deals Spectro DMG, restores HP to all party members, and generates 12 Concerto Energy — making it the most efficient Concerto generation tool in her kit. Her Resonance Liberation applies a Photosynthesis Mark to enemies that causes Verina to perform Coordinated Attacks whenever any ally hits the marked enemy — each Coordinated Attack healing the active character and dealing Spectro DMG, triggered once per second for 12 seconds off-field.
What elevates Verina beyond a simple healer is her Outro Skill — Blossom: it grants the incoming character 15% All-Type DMG Deepen for 30 seconds to all party members — a buff strictly better than Baizhi’s equivalent Outro which only buffs a single character. Combined with her Inherent Skill 1 — Gift of Nature, which grants +20% ATK to all party members for 20 seconds whenever she uses Starflower Blooms, her Liberation, or her Outro, Verina provides both a DMG Deepen and an ATK Bonus simultaneously — a combination no other standard-banner support can replicate at the same level. Her Inherent Skill 2 — Grace of Life adds a death-immunity passive that saves one party member from a fatal hit every 10 minutes (requires Union Level 40 to unlock), providing unmatched survivability insurance in high-difficulty content.
🌿 Core Kit — Photosynthesis, Starflower Blooms, Liberation Mark & Outro
- Max 4 stacks — gained via Basic Attack Stage 5 (1), Resonance Skill (1), or Intro Skill (1)
- Each stack enables Heavy or Mid-air Starflower Blooms — consumes 1 stack; heals all party members, deals Spectro DMG, and restores 12 Concerto Energy
- With S2: Resonance Skill grants +1 bonus stack — fastest 3-stack accumulation in one rotation
- Target 3–4 stacks per rotation to consume via Mid-air chain for maximum Concerto fill speed
- Initial hit heals all nearby characters (500 + 11.33% ATK at Lv.1) + applies Photosynthesis Mark to enemies
- Photosynthesis Mark: Coordinated Attacks off-field — each ally hit triggers Verina to auto-attack (5% DMG + 225+5.10% ATK heal per trigger, once per second, 12s)
- 175 Energy Cost — second-highest in the game; Energy Regen is critical; target 170–190%+ ER
- After Liberation cast: jump and use 3 mid-air Starflower Blooms to consume Photosynthesis stacks and fill Concerto → then Outro
- 15% All-Type DMG Deepen for 30 seconds — to ALL party members (not just next Resonator like Baizhi)
- S1: Outro also applies continuous healing at 20% of Verina’s ATK every 5s for 30s to the incoming character — ensures off-field HP recovery
- S4: Outro additionally grants +15% Spectro DMG Bonus to all team members for 24s — premier upgrade for Spectro DPS teams (Jinhsi, Phoebe, Spectro Rover)
- Trigger Outro only after Concerto is full; Intro Skill on next swap-in provides 1 Photosynthesis stack for the following rotation
- Gift of Nature: Any Starflower Blooms, Liberation, or Outro Skill → +20% ATK to ALL party members for 20 seconds. Near-permanent uptime when rotated correctly — best team ATK buff from any standard character
- Grace of Life: Protects one party member from fatal damage once, granting a shield equal to 120% of Verina’s ATK for 10s (cooldown: 10 minutes; requires Union Level 40)
- Grace of Life is a crucial safety net for aggressive play in Tower of Adversity — prevents team wipes on heavy boss hits
- Both passives are always active once unlocked — zero rotation requirements beyond normal play
Strengths & Weaknesses
✓ Strengths
- ✓ Best standard-banner support in the game — Outro Skill grants 15% All-Type DMG Deepen to ALL party members for 30 seconds; strictly superior to Baizhi whose Outro only buffs the next single character
- ✓ Dual team buffs from Inherent Skill — +20% ATK (Gift of Nature) + 15% All-Type DMG Deepen (Outro) trigger simultaneously in the same rotation; stacks into a powerful combined damage multiplier that rivals many limited 5-Star supports
- ✓ True universal team fit — available from the Standard Banner; works effectively in every team archetype (Aero, Spectro, Electro, Fusion, Havoc, Glacio) with no element restrictions on her buffs; the go-to healer for players without Shorekeeper
- ✓ Off-field Coordinated Attacks + Healing via Photosynthesis Mark — after her Liberation, she heals the active DPS while they attack — hands-free, passive healing that perfectly complements zero-downtime DPS rotations
- ✓ Death immunity passive (Grace of Life) — prevents one fatal hit per 10 minutes; significantly reduces KO risk in high-difficulty Tower of Adversity content; no other standard-banner character offers this at S0
✗ Weaknesses
- ✗ Highest Energy cost Resonance Liberation in the game (175) — requires extensive Energy Regen investment (170–190%+) to use Liberation every rotation; without consistent Liberation, her off-field Coordinated Healing falls off and the team loses passive HP recovery
- ✗ ATK-scaling heals create a stat conflict — heals scale with ATK (not Max HP like most healers), meaning you must build ATK% to improve her healing output; however, without high Energy Regen, her Liberation uptime suffers, making optimal gearing require a careful ER/ATK balance
- ✗ Squishiness due to ATK-scaling build — ATK-focused stat stacking reduces her survivability; she is vulnerable to spike damage, particularly in endgame content where enemy hit values are very high; DMG reduction Echoes (Bell-Borne Geochelone) are strongly recommended to compensate
- ✗ Coordinated Attack Healing from Photosynthesis Mark is only provided to the on-field character — characters waiting off-field do not benefit from passive Coordinated healing; heavily damaged off-field units can still die if Verina’s Liberation burst heal was insufficient
- ✗ Outclassed by Shorekeeper in premium teams — Shorekeeper provides Crit Rate buff, stronger DPS amplification (All-DMG Amplification field), and better off-field coverage; Verina is the best healer for players without Shorekeeper, but drops to secondary option in Shorekeeper teams
Skill Leveling Priority
| Priority | Skill | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| ★★★★★ 1st | Forte Circuit — Lv.10 | Controls Starflower Blooms — primary healing source (625 + 14.17% ATK per stack at Lv.1). Every level increases both the flat heal value and the ATK% multiplier of Starflower Blooms. This is the single most impactful skill for keeping your team alive. Level first without exception |
| ★★★★★ 2nd | Resonance Liberation — Lv.10 | Controls Arboreal Flourish heal (500 + 11.33% ATK at Lv.1) and Coordinated Attack Healing (225 + 5.10% ATK per trigger at Lv.1). Both scale steeply with level. Coordinated Attacks fire every second for 12s off-field — maximizing this is critical for sustained healing in multi-enemy fights and coordinated DPS teams (especially for Jinhsi’s Incandescence builds) |
| ★★ 3rd | Resonance Skill — Lv.4–6 | Botany Experiment (18%×3 + 36% at Lv.1) — primary purpose is generating 1 Photosynthesis Energy (not damage). Level only needed if you want marginal DMG output from the foliage AoE. Level to 4–6 for some improvement; not worth maxing on a pure support build as it does not affect healing |
| ★ Low | Normal Attack — Lv.1 | Stage 1–5 (19.04% to 36.03% at Lv.1) — Verina almost never uses raw Normal Attacks except for Stage 5 to trigger one Photosynthesis stack in some rotations. Upgrade only increases raw damage, which is irrelevant for her support role. Leave at Lv.1 until everything else is maxed |
| ★ Last | Intro Skill — Lv.1 | Spread (50% at Lv.1) — exclusively increases Intro Skill damage, which provides no healing or buff value. S5 adds +20% healing to below-50% HP targets, but that is passive and level-independent. No benefit to leveling at S0. Leave at Lv.1 indefinitely in normal play |
Best Weapons
| Rank | Weapon | Rarity | Rating | Key Passive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Stellar Symphony | 5★ | BiS | +12% HP. Liberation cast → restores 8 Concerto Energy (once per 20s). Resonance Skill heal cast → +14% ATK to all nearby party members for 30s. Provides both the Concerto Energy generation and the team ATK buff in a single passive — perfectly tailored for her support rotation. Best 5-Star option for Verina |
| 2 | Variation | 4★ Standard | Best 4★ | Base ATK 337 + 51.8% Energy Regen secondary stat. Resonance Skill cast → restores 8 Concerto Energy (once per 20s). The enormous Energy Regen secondary stat dramatically reduces the investment needed in Energy Regen echo sub-stats — often outperforms Stellar Symphony in practice due to ER allowing more Liberation cycles. Best practical weapon for most players |
| 3 | Cosmic Ripples | 5★ Standard | Good 5★ | Base ATK 337 + 12.8% Energy Regen secondary. Basic Attack hits → +3.2% Basic ATK Bonus (×5 stacks = +16%). Decent Energy Regen secondary eases Liberation uptime; the Basic ATK buff is largely wasted on a support build but the ER stat itself has value. Decent if available from standard pulls |
| 4 | Call of the Abyss | 4★ Craftable | Free Craft | Base ATK 412 (higher than Variation). Liberation cast → +16% Healing Bonus for 15s. Higher ATK stat boosts raw heal numbers; Healing Bonus further amplifies Starflower Blooms and Liberation heals. Obtainable via Rinascita region crafting — good free option if Variation is unavailable |
| 5 | Rectifier #25 | 4★ Craftable | F2P Craft | RS cast at <60% HP → heals 5% Max HP (once per 8s); at >60% HP → +12% ATK for 10s. Free Rinascita craftable weapon; ATK bonus applies in most scenarios (Verina rarely dips below 60% HP). Use this as earliest free option before obtaining Variation |
| F2P | Rectifier of Voyager | 3★ Free | Beginner | RS cast → restores 8 Resonance Energy (once per 20s). Free Resonance Energy generation helps reach Liberation faster — usable early but should be replaced by Variation or Rectifier #25 as soon as possible. Never a long-term solution |
⚡ Weapon Note — Variation is the single most recommended weapon for most Verina players. Its 51.8% Energy Regen secondary stat almost single-handedly solves Verina’s biggest weakness (the 175 Energy Liberation cost), freeing up echo sub-stats to focus on ATK% for stronger heals instead. At higher Syntony levels, Variation pulls even further ahead of Stellar Symphony. If you have Stellar Symphony — great; if not, Variation at R1 is sufficient for virtually all endgame content.
Best Echo Sets
Rejuvenating Glow (5-PC)
2-PC: +10% Healing Bonus. 5-PC: After healing any Resonator → +15% ATK for all Resonators for 30 seconds. Verina heals constantly through Starflower Blooms, Liberation, and Coordinated Attacks — the 5-PC buff has near-100% uptime. Combined with Gift of Nature (+20% ATK), Verina’s team-wide ATK contribution reaches +35% ATK for essentially the entire fight.
Main Echo: Fallacy of No Return (Best) — Summon-type; doesn’t interrupt rotation. +10% Energy Regen to Verina, +10% ATK to all Resonators for 20s (scales off Verina’s HP). Bell-Borne Geochelone (Survival Alt) — 50% DMG reduction shield + 10% DMG bonus for all members. Use Bell-Borne in content where survivability is prioritized over maximum output, especially before getting 170%+ ER.
Moonlit Clouds (5-PC)
2-PC: +10% Energy Regen. 5-PC: After Outro Skill — +22.5% ATK to the next Resonator for 15 seconds. The 2-PC Energy Regen helps reduce the Liberation cost burden, while the 5-PC Outro buff gives a strong ATK spike to whoever Verina swaps into — valuable in burst-window oriented teams like Calcharo or Jiyan where only the main DPS needs a short-window ATK surge.
Only affects one character per Outro (vs. Rejuvenating Glow’s team-wide +15% ATK). Use when the team has a single dominant DPS who benefits most from a concentrated burst-window ATK buff. Generally weaker than Rejuvenating Glow in 3-character teams unless the single carry’s ATK scaling is very high.
Echo Main Stats & Sub-Stats
Main Stats — 4-3-3-1-1
- 4-Cost: Healing Bonus (primary — boosts all Starflower Blooms and Liberation heals) or ATK% (if already capped on ER and want more raw ATK-scaling heal output)
- 3-Cost ×2: Energy Regen (both) — critical for sustaining 175-cost Liberation every rotation
- 1-Cost ×2: ATK%
Sub-Stat Priority
- Energy Regen ★★★★★ — Target 170–190%+ for every-rotation Liberation
- ATK% ★★★ — Directly scales all heal amounts (Starflower Blooms, Liberation, Coordinated Healing)
- Flat ATK ★★ — Secondary; contributes to heal scaling but less efficiently than ATK%
- Healing Bonus ★★ — Useful if using ATK% on 4-Cost main stat; otherwise lower priority than ER and ATK%
🎯 Target Endgame Stats
Standard Rotation
›
BA ×3 (skip to Stage 3)
›
Resonance Skill (Botany Experiment)
›
Echo Skill (Bell-Borne or Fallacy)
›
Resonance Liberation (Arboreal Flourish)
›
Jump → 3× Mid-Air Starflower Blooms

🌿 Outro → Switch to DPS
Key rotation rules: 1) Soft-swap (no Intro) into Verina — starts from BA Stage 3 automatically, saving rotation time. 2) Use Resonance Skill before Liberation to get 2 Photosynthesis stacks ready for Mid-air Starflower Blooms chain after the Liberation. 3) After Liberation: jump immediately and do 3 Mid-air Starflower Blooms before touching the ground — this is the critical “7-hit midair combo” trick that fully fills Concerto Energy and consumes all Photosynthesis stacks for maximum healing output. 4) Trigger Outro only after Concerto is full — Gift of Nature ATK buff applies on Outro, so the incoming DPS enters a fully buffed field. 5) If running Bell-Borne Geochelone: use Echo before Liberation so the shield and DMG buff are active when you switch to the DPS.
Best Team Compositions
★ Jinhsi — Premium Spectro Team
Verina’s Liberation Coordinated Attacks help generate Jinhsi’s Incandescence alongside Zhezhi or Yinlin. Her Outro All-DMG Deepen stacks with the Sub-DPS’s Outro buff. S4 Verina adds +15% Spectro DMG Bonus — highly valuable for Jinhsi. Best non-Shorekeeper team for Jinhsi builds.
⚡ Jiyan — Aero DPS Team
Classic Jiyan meta team. Verina’s 15% All-DMG Deepen buffs both Jiyan and Mortefi’s output. With Mortefi at S4, his Empyrean Anthem set buffs Jiyan’s Heavy ATK; Verina keeps everyone healed for sustained Qingloong Mode rotations. Best non-Shorekeeper Jiyan team in the current meta.
🌿 Phoebe — Spectro Frazzle DPS
Strong Phoebe Main DPS team. Verina provides all necessary healing and buffing; Spectro Rover maintains Frazzle stacks for Phoebe’s Starflash. S4 Verina adds +15% Spectro DMG Bonus — directly amplifies Phoebe’s Spectro Absolution damage. Fully viable without Shorekeeper or Ciaccona.
🌱 Universal F2P — Any DPS
Verina’s most important role — plug-in universal healer for any team without Shorekeeper. Her buffs are element-neutral and DPS-neutral. Whether you’re running Electro, Glacio, Fusion, Havoc, or Aero carries, Verina’s 15% All-DMG Deepen and 20% ATK apply uniformly. The best investment for new players across all content.
Resonance Chain
| Node | Name & Effect | Rating |
|---|---|---|
| S1 | Moment of Emergence — Outro Skill Blossom additionally grants the incoming character continuous Healing at 20% of Verina’s ATK every 5 seconds for 30 seconds. Ensures the DPS who enters after Verina’s Outro heals passively off-field — useful in content where the active character takes constant chip damage but you don’t want to rotate back to Verina frequently | ★★ Okay |
| S2 | Sprouting Reflections — Resonance Skill Botany Experiment additionally grants +1 Photosynthesis Energy and +10 Concerto Energy. This is the most impactful sequence upgrade — reduces the time needed to accumulate 3 Photosynthesis stacks, enabling faster rotation into her Mid-air Starflower chain and allowing quicker Outro triggers. Makes her rotation noticeably smoother in all team compositions | ★★★★ Great |
| S3 | The Choice to Flourish — Healing from Resonance Liberation’s Photosynthesis Mark increased by 12%. Boosts off-field Coordinated Attack heal values — helpful in fights where the DPS is taking consistent chip damage from enemy AoEs or environmental hazards. Small but always-active bonus; not worth actively targeting compared to S2 or S4 | ★ Mediocre |
| S4 | Blossoming Embrace — Starflower Blooms, Liberation, or Outro Skill casts additionally grant +15% Spectro DMG Bonus to all team members for 24 seconds. Near-permanent uptime in any rotation. This is the best S-Node for Spectro DPS teams (Jinhsi, Phoebe, Spectro Rover, Zhezhi) — stacks with other Spectro DMG Bonus buffs and significantly amplifies Spectro-element carries in both Tower of Adversity and Whisperin Wars | ★★★★★ Amazing (Spectro teams) |
| S5 | Miraculous Blooms — When Verina heals a party member with HP less than 50%, her Healing is increased by 20%. Conditional bonus — only activates when an ally is critically low. Useful as a safety net but does not improve proactive healing quality; Verina’s standard heals are already strong enough that this edge-case bonus rarely matters in competent rotations | ★ Mediocre |
| S6 | Joyous Harvest — Starflower Blooms deal 20% more damage and trigger an additional Coordinated Attack that heals all characters nearby (heal equal to Photosynthesis Mark’s Coordinated Healing). Each Starflower Blooms now provides both on-field and broad off-field healing simultaneously — meaningful quality-of-life upgrade for keeping low-HP off-field characters alive. The extra Coordinated Attack also helps in Jinhsi Incandescence-stacking scenarios | ★★ Okay-Good |
Pulling Recommendation — Verina is a Standard Banner character and can be obtained from any Convene pool. S0 Verina is already the best standard-banner healer in the game and requires no additional sequences for endgame viability. If you accumulate duplicates naturally: S2 is the first meaningful QoL upgrade (+1 Photosynthesis stack from RS → faster rotations). S4 is the best upgrade for Spectro-DPS teams (+15% Spectro DMG Bonus — nearly permanent for Jinhsi and Phoebe). There is no need to actively target Verina’s sequences — obtaining them through natural gacha is sufficient. S4 is the recommended maximum investment milestone for competitive play.
