As of 2025, there are many exciting PC games to play. Whether you enjoy action, adventure, strategy, or role-playing games (RPGs), there is something for you. Some games are new, while others have been fan favorites for years.
Here is a list of 11 of the latest best PC games to play right now.

1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Release Date: February 4, 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a video game released in 2025. It was made by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver. This game is a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance (2018). It came out on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on February 4, 2025. The game received good reviews and sold one million copies in just one day.
It is an open-world action role-playing game where players control the main character from a first-person view. Players can complete missions in different ways, and the game world reacts to their choices. The way people (NPCs) interact with the player will affect the main character’s life and growth.
Unlike the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II does not start with Henry as a beginner. The game introduces crossbows and early guns for the first time, and crossbows can even be used while riding a horse.
New skills have been added to dialogue options. In addition to Oratory, Charisma, and Intimidation from the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II includes Appearance, Coercion, and Dominate.

2. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Release Date: December 9, 2024
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a 2024 action-adventure video game made by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is based on the Indiana Jones movies but tells a new story inspired by them.
The game takes place in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Indiana Jones must stop different groups from using a mysterious power linked to the “Great Circle”—a set of real-world locations that form a perfect circle on a map. Players will explore places like Vatican City, Thailand, Egypt, and China.
The game is mostly played from a first-person view, but some moments switch to third-person. Players control Indy as they move through both linear story areas and open exploration zones. Players can fight enemies head-on or use stealth to avoid them. Indy’s whip is a key tool—it can be used in combat, for climbing, and for solving puzzles to unlock new paths and hidden items.
Bethesda and MachineGames announced the game in January 2021, working with Lucasfilm Games. Jerk Gustafsson directed it, and composer Gordy Haab created new music along with updated versions of classic Indiana Jones themes by John Williams. Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios came up with the story and served as executive producer, calling it a passion project. Troy Baker voices Indiana Jones and did motion capture, though the character’s face is based on Harrison Ford. Alessandra Mastronardi and Tony Todd play supporting roles.
The game launched on December 9, 2024, for Windows and Xbox Series X/S, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for early 2025. It received mostly positive reviews, with praise for Baker’s performance, the gameplay, story, puzzles, and combat. It was nominated for several awards, including Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards.
3. Civilization VII
Release Date: February 11, 2025
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is a strategy game coming out on February 11, 2025. It’s made by Firaxis Games and published by 2K. You can play it on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam Deck.
In this game, you build and grow a civilization from a small village to a powerful empire. You explore the world, create cities, develop new ideas, collect resources, and deal with other civilizations—either through peace or war. There are different ways to win, like making alliances or taking over the world.
A new feature lets you choose a leader and a civilization separately. Leaders can be philosophers, religious figures, or scientists, not just kings and queens.
The game has three main time periods: Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern. In the Antiquity era, small groups appear (instead of “barbarians”), and if you interact with them well, they might become city-states. Also, when moving to a new era, your civilization must change in some way. After Antiquity and Exploration, there will be a “crisis event”, a big challenge that affects the next era.
This game brings some fresh ideas to the Civilization series!

4. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Release Date: January 23, 2025

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a 2024 action RPG made by Square Enix. It is the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and the second part of a planned trilogy based on the original Final Fantasy VII from 1997.
Like the previous game, Rebirth mixes real-time combat with strategy and RPG elements. The story picks up right after Remake, following Cloud Strife and his team from Avalanche as they travel across the world. Their mission is to stop the Shinra Corporation from draining the planet’s life energy, Mako, and defeat Sephiroth, a former elite SOLDIER who wants to merge with the planet for ultimate power.
Development started in November 2019, before Remake was even released. It was officially announced in June 2022. Most of the key developers returned, but Tetsuya Nomura became the creative director, and Naoki Hamaguchi took over as director.
The game launched on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024, and a Windows version with upgrades followed on January 23, 2025. Rebirth received high praise from critics and won several awards, including Game of the Year nominations.
5. Hyper Light Breaker
Release Date: January 14, 2025 (Early Access)

Hyper Light Breaker is a roguelike game made by Heart Machine and published by Arc Games. It is a prequel to Hyper Light Drifter (2016). Players take on the role of a “Breaker”, who enters the dangerous world of Overgrowth to defeat the Abyss King. The game launched in early access on January 14, 2025.
The game is played from a third-person view, and players can mix melee and ranged attacks. Each Breaker can choose a class and abilities that change gameplay. To explore the world, players can use hoverboards, glide, and climb walls. Like other roguelikes, each time you die, the world changes with a new layout.
Hyper Light Breaker also features multiplayer, allowing up to three players to team up. To win, players must defeat regional bosses before facing the Abyss King. Between runs, they can explore a hub city.
The game has non-playable characters (NPCs) scattered throughout the world, and players can interact with them. Like in Hyper Light Drifter, the game has no spoken dialogue—instead, characters communicate through comic book-style panels.

6. Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Release Date: October 31, 2024

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a 2024 action RPG made by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fourth main game in the Dragon Age series and follows Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014).
Players control a customizable hero named Rook, who must stop the elven trickster god Solas from destroying the world. Along the way, Rook accidentally frees two other dangerous elven gods and must stop them from taking over. The game is played from a third-person view, but unlike Inquisition, it doesn’t have an open world. Instead, players explore different levels accessed through fast travel. Combat focuses more on combo-based action rather than tactical planning.
Development started in 2015, but the game faced long delays. It was originally planned as a live-service game, but after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019) proved successful, BioWare shifted to a single-player focus. The combat style was inspired by God of War (2018). It was first announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022 but was renamed The Veilguard in June 2024.
The game launched on October 31, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It received mostly positive reviews, with nominations at The Game Awards, Golden Joystick Awards, and DICE Awards. By the end of 2024, 1.5 million players had played the game, but this was lower than EA’s expectations.
7. Eternal Strands

Eternal Strands is an action-adventure game made by Yellow Brick Games. It came out on January 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S and got good reviews.

She can freeze enemies to slow them down or burn them to deal damage. Her powers also change the world—too much fire can dry out areas and even start wildfires.
Brynn also has telekinetic abilities, meaning she can throw objects at enemies, make ice bridges, burn obstacles, and launch herself across distances. Plus, she can climb any surface, making exploration more exciting.
The game has nine giant bosses roaming the world. To beat them, Brynn must climb on them and attack their weak spots. Defeating a boss unlocks a new magical ability, making her even stronger in fights and exploration.

8. Satisfactory
Release Date: September 10, 2024
Satisfactory is a factory-building simulation game made by Coffee Stain Studios for Windows. It was first released in early access on March 19, 2019, and the full version launched on September 10, 2024. By January 2024, the game had sold 5.5 million copies. A console version is also planned.
In Satisfactory, you play as a Pioneer working for FICSIT Inc., a megacorporation. You’re dropped onto an alien planet with just a few tools and must gather resources to build massive, automated factories. The first big goal is to build a space elevator to start shipping complex parts to FICSIT. As you send them materials, you unlock new technology, which lets you build bigger and more advanced machines.
The game is played in first-person and supports co-op multiplayer. Players start in one of four locations on a pre-designed map, exploring on foot to gather materials and reveal more of the map. Progress is made by completing different tiers, each requiring you to collect and craft specific parts. As you go, you’ll unlock new equipment, blueprints, and technologies, making it easier to scale up production.
To keep up with demand, players need to automate everything. This includes setting up conveyor belts, pipelines, trucks, trains, and drones to move materials efficiently. A power grid must also be built and upgraded to keep the factory running smoothly.

Gameplay
The game is about exploring and talking to characters. You can walk around different areas, interact with people, and uncover hidden details—especially in the main area, the Orchard.
A big feature is Communion, where you jump into memories and explore different time periods to solve puzzles and learn more about the past. In some moments, you float through memories, listening to past conversations to reveal the story.

- Players can send an SOS flare mid-hunt to call in real players or AI allies.
