Moving Mountains is the sixth mission in Battlefield 6‘s campaign, and it’s one of those high-stakes scenarios where everything is on the line. Playing as MSgt Dylan Murphy, your objective is straightforward but intense: stop an assassination attempt and evacuate the President of the United States. No pressure, right?
This mission delivers on the franchise’s signature “only in Battlefield” moments—you’ll fight through drone swarms, navigate chaotic urban combat, and race against time through subway stations. But if you’re a completionist (and you’re here, so you probably are), you’ll want to track down all four dog tag collectibles scattered throughout the chaos.
Finding these collectibles isn’t just about bragging rights. They’re essential for completing the “Campaign – Moving Mountains” challenge, which rewards you with a Career XP Booster (Consumable)—always useful for fast leveling. The mission also features the “Mission Complete 1” challenge that unlocks the Shield Bearer Player Card Title.
Here’s where to find every dog tag in Moving Mountains, along with tips to make your playthrough smoother and more efficient.
Standard pickup controls apply across all platforms:
All dog tags have that characteristic shine or glint that makes them stand out against the environment. When collected, each displays a soldier’s name and date of birth—a nice touch that adds personal weight to the combat scenarios you’re experiencing.
Important note: Moving Mountains has some particularly chaotic combat sections where you might be tempted to rush through. Resist that urge. The collectibles are placed in locations that sometimes require you to deliberately step off the main path, even when your squad is pushing forward.
Location: Kitchen area in the Fire Station, on the counter
The first collectible comes fairly early in the mission, right after your first enemy encounter. You’ll make your way to the Fire Station, which serves as a temporary safe zone and the location where you’ll meet the President in a cutscene.
Once the cutscene wraps up, your objective updates to “Secure the rooftop for Marine One (Extract the President)”. Your squad will immediately start heading up the stairs to reach the rooftop, and it’s very easy to just follow them on autopilot.
Don’t do that—not yet.
Instead, turn right and head toward the kitchen area before ascending the stairs. This is a deliberate detour from the main path, so your AI squadmates won’t be guiding you here.
Once in the kitchen, scan the counters. The first dog tag is lying right on the counter—it’s sitting in plain sight once you’re in the correct room. The kitchen is relatively well-lit compared to some other areas in the campaign, so the glint should be visible.
Tactical tip: The Fire Station is a safe area at this point, so you have plenty of time to explore. If you’re also working on familiarizing yourself with the layout for potential multiplayer map knowledge (some campaign locations inspire multiplayer designs), take a moment to get your bearings.
This is also a good checkpoint to ensure your settings are optimized for the rest of the mission, especially since you’ll be dealing with drone encounters shortly.
Location: Small building near the construction zone, on a table to the right
The second dog tag comes after one of Moving Mountains’ most distinctive gameplay sections—your first encounter with the drones. These aren’t just background elements; they’re active threats that require tactical thinking to neutralize.
After dealing with the initial drone wave, your objective changes to “Find the drone command center (Destroy Drone Command)”. You’ll follow Gecko (one of your squad members) as she leads you toward a park area.
As you move through the park, you’ll need to destroy a couple more drones before eventually reaching a construction zone. This area is usually pretty active with enemy presence, so clear the immediate threats first.
Once the construction zone is relatively secure, look to the left of this zone. You’ll spot a small building—it’s not a major structure, more like a site office or temporary facility.
Enter this building and scan the interior. On the right side, near a table, you’ll find the second dog tag. The table usually has other items on it as well, so look for the characteristic glint to distinguish the collectible.
Combat consideration: The construction zone can get hectic with enemies approaching from multiple angles. If you’re working on weapon challenges or testing specific loadouts, this area provides good opportunities for varied engagements.
The drone mechanics you encounter here are also excellent practice for understanding how to deal with airborne threats—skills that translate directly to multiplayer scenarios and various game modes.
Location: Main subway area with white lights, near the map in the middle section
The third collectible is probably the trickiest to grab because it’s located in one of the most intense combat sections of the entire mission. After a dramatic sequence where your car crashes, you’ll find yourself in an underground subway station—a claustrophobic environment that channels enemy fire from multiple directions.
As you push forward through the subway, your objective will update to “Reach Forward Operating Base”. You’ll need to keep advancing until you reach the main subway area, which is identifiable by the white lights above you. These lights are your key landmark—if you’re seeing white lighting from above, you’re in the right general area.
In the middle of this subway section, despite all the gunfire and chaos happening around you, you need to spot the collectible. It’s located near a map—likely one of those transit system maps that shows subway routes and stops.
This is honestly one of the more challenging collectibles to grab because:
My recommendation: Clear the immediate area first if possible, or at least establish some cover. Then quickly scan the middle section for the map landmark. The dog tag should be visible near it once you know where to look.
Survival tip: The subway combat is excellent practice for close quarters challenges. Use cover effectively, watch your corners, and don’t get tunnel vision on objectives—environmental awareness is key. Also consider practicing the combat roll to move between cover positions quickly.
Location: Park entrance northwest of the hot dog van, next to stairs and a fallen soldier
The fourth and final dog tag comes near the mission’s climax, after you’ve survived the subway gauntlet. Once you exit the subway station, your objective updates to “Secure the Empire DOB (Secure Forward Operating Base)”.
As you emerge back into daylight (or whatever passes for daylight in the current tactical situation), you’ll come across a hot dog van. This is a pretty distinctive landmark—food trucks and vendor carts are common in urban Battlefield maps and campaigns.
To the right of the van, you’ll see an entrance to a park. Head through this entrance and look for stairs to the northwest. The directional guidance is important here because parks can have multiple entry points and stairways.
Once you’ve located the correct stairs, you’ll find the fourth dog tag lying next to a dead soldier. This is one of those environmental storytelling moments—the fallen Marine and their dog tag serve as a somber reminder of the cost of the battle you’re fighting through.
The collectible is on the ground rather than on a table or wall, so adjust your viewing angle accordingly. Look down as you approach the stairs.
Final mission tip: This is your last chance to complete the collectible set for Moving Mountains. Make absolutely certain you grab this dog tag before pushing to the final objectives, especially if you’re trying to unlock that Career XP Booster reward in a single playthrough.
Completing Moving Mountains and finding all collectibles unlocks two distinct challenges:
This reward is granted simply for completing the mission. The Shield Bearer title is a nice cosmetic addition to your player profile customization and shows you’ve successfully protected the President through one of the campaign’s most intense missions.
This is the reward for finding all four dog tags. Career XP Boosters are incredibly valuable for fast leveling and unlocking gear across your account. Unlike hardware boosters that only affect specific weapons or vehicles, Career XP Boosters speed up your overall account progression.
Pro tip: Save your Career XP Boosters for high-scoring game modes like Breakthrough, or stack them during dedicated grinding sessions. Check our XP booster guide for strategies on maximizing their value.
Moving Mountains offers excellent training opportunities for several multiplayer competencies:
The drone encounters introduce mechanics that appear in multiplayer. Understanding how to track, prioritize, and eliminate airborne threats is valuable for dealing with enemy equipment like the laser designator.
The mission features rapid transitions between outdoor urban combat and indoor/underground scenarios. This varied environment helps you practice adapting your tactics on the fly—essential for all game modes and different maps.
Moving Mountains constantly shifts objectives while maintaining time pressure. Learning to balance primary objectives with secondary goals (like collectibles) under stress is excellent preparation for multiplayer’s dynamic scenarios.
If Battlefield 6 features any VIP or escort-based multiplayer modes, the skills you develop protecting the President translate directly. Understanding positioning, threat priority, and movement coordination all apply.
While you can’t fully customize your loadout in campaign missions, you can still develop skills relevant to specific classes:
The aggressive push-forward nature of Moving Mountains mirrors Assault class gameplay. Practice leading advances and clearing paths for your team.
Pay attention to how your AI squadmates provide support fire and suppression. These patterns inform effective Support class loadouts in multiplayer.
The elevated positions and sightlines in the park and urban areas demonstrate good Recon class positioning principles.
