Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets a Delicious in Dungeon Crossover Featuring Laios and Marcille

Capcom has served up a pretty unexpected surprise for fantasy RPG fans. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen has officially teamed up with Delicious in Dungeon, bringing two familiar faces from the popular manga and anime into its fantasy world. And yes, that includes Laios and Marcille, although unfortunately, Capcom hasn’t gone as far as introducing a proper monster-cooking system.

The collaboration went live on November 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Nintendo Switch 2 players will get access slightly later, with the update scheduled for November 11 Pacific time, or November 12 in India.

There are two main attractions here. Players can recruit special Official Pawns modeled after the heavily armored adventurer Laios and the elven mage Marcille. There’s also a pair of exclusive crossover outfit sets inspired by the characters, allowing players to dress up both their Arisen and their recruited Pawns.

What’s particularly nice is that the outfits aren’t temporary rewards. As long as players claim them during the collaboration period, they’ll remain available even after the event ends.

The crossover also arrives alongside a substantial title update containing numerous bug fixes. So, even if you’re not particularly interested in the anime collaboration, there’s still a reason to download the latest update.

Capcom confirmed the collaboration through its November 4 announcement. You can check out the official Capcom press release covering the Delicious in Dungeon crossover for additional details.

Laios and Marcille Are Joining Dragon’s Dogma 2 as Official Pawns

Let’s start with the most exciting part of the collaboration. Capcom has created two special Official Pawns inspired by the main characters from Delicious in Dungeon.

The first is Laios, the heavily armored adventurer who leads his party through dangerous dungeons while maintaining an almost unreasonable fascination with the monsters living inside them.

Then there’s Marcille, the elven mage whose magical abilities make her an important member of the group. She’s also one of the most recognizable characters in the series, thanks to her personality and frequently hilarious reactions to Laios’s questionable culinary experiments.

Both characters have been recreated using Dragon’s Dogma 2’s character creation system, allowing players to recruit them as companions through the game’s Riftstones.

For anyone unfamiliar with Dragon’s Dogma’s Pawn system, these companions are essentially AI-controlled adventurers who accompany the Arisen during their journey. They can fight enemies, support the player during difficult encounters, provide useful information, and help make exploration feel less lonely.

Adding Laios and Marcille to that system is a surprisingly fitting crossover. Laios already spends most of his time exploring dangerous dungeons, while Marcille is certainly no stranger to dealing with bizarre magical creatures.

It’ll be interesting to see how their recreated appearances and combat roles fit into regular Dragon’s Dogma adventures.

How to Recruit Laios and Marcille in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Getting the two special Pawns is relatively straightforward.

Players simply need to visit a Riftstone at locations such as towns and search for the official collaboration Pawns. Once found, they can recruit Laios and Marcille to join their adventures just like other available companions.

There is, however, a pretty important limitation.

These Official Pawns are available for a limited time only. According to Capcom, the collaboration characters will remain recruitable until the January 28, 2027 title update.

That gives players a little under three months to enjoy adventuring with the two Delicious in Dungeon characters before their official availability period ends.

So, don’t leave this until the last minute. Anyone interested in recruiting Laios and Marcille should make sure to find them while the collaboration is active.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Adds Exclusive Laios and Marcille Outfits

The second major reward is arguably the better long-term addition for players who enjoy customizing their characters.

Capcom is giving players special collaboration outfits inspired by Laios and Marcille, allowing them to recreate the characters’ recognizable adventuring appearances.

Unlike the Official Pawns, these outfits aren’t locked behind a temporary recruitment system.

Both outfit sets can be equipped by the Arisen and their own Pawns. This means players can recreate the Delicious in Dungeon party’s appearance while exploring the world, fighting monsters, and completing quests.

Even better, the process of claiming the outfits is extremely simple.

Players only need to launch Dragon’s Dogma 2 or Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and load their existing save data during the collaboration period. Once that happens, the special outfit sets will automatically be added to the in-game storage.

There is no separate quest to complete or difficult challenge to overcome.

Just make sure you load your save before the collaboration period ends. Once the outfits have been obtained, they will remain available even after the limited-time event finishes.

This is particularly important for Nintendo Switch 2 players, since the collaboration arrives later on that platform.

When Does the Delicious in Dungeon Collaboration End?

Capcom has confirmed that the crossover is available for a limited period, with the official Pawns and outfit distribution running until the January 28, 2027 title update.

    Here’s the platform schedule:

    • PlayStation 5: November 4, 2026, through the January 28, 2027 update.
    • Xbox Series X|S: November 4, 2026, through the January 28, 2027 update.
    • PC (Steam): November 4, 2026, through the January 28, 2027 update.
    • Nintendo Switch 2: November 11, 2026, in Pacific time, with the rollout corresponding to November 12 in India, through the January 28, 2027 update.

It’s worth remembering that the official Pawns and the outfits have different availability after the event.

Laios and Marcille will no longer be available for recruitment once the collaboration period ends. However, players who have already claimed their outfits can continue using them permanently.

Does the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Crossover Add Cooking Mechanics?

Here’s the one thing that might disappoint some Delicious in Dungeon fans.

Despite the crossover being based on an anime and manga series famous for its monster-cooking adventures, Capcom hasn’t announced any new cooking mechanics or special dungeon-related gameplay features.

The collaboration is focused on character appearances, Official Pawns, and exclusive equipment cosmetics.

That means you shouldn’t expect to start preparing delicious meals using the monsters you defeat in Dragon’s Dogma 2. There are no confirmed new recipes, dedicated cooking quests, or additional dungeon areas included in the crossover announcement.

Still, the character combination makes a lot of sense.

Dragon’s Dogma already has a fantasy world filled with dangerous creatures, mysterious ruins, and enormous monsters. Delicious in Dungeon takes those same familiar fantasy elements and approaches them from a completely different direction by asking a rather unusual question: what if adventurers actually ate the creatures they defeated?

Seeing Laios and Marcille wandering around the world of Dragon’s Dogma is therefore a fun meeting of two fantasy universes, even without a new cooking system.

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Latest Update Also Fixes Several Gameplay Bugs

The Delicious in Dungeon collaboration isn’t the only reason for the latest Dragon’s Dogma 2 update. Capcom has also included a fairly extensive collection of bug fixes targeting several problems that players have encountered during their adventures.

These adjustments affect Vocations, enemies, Pawns, NPCs, quests, environmental interactions, and various user interface elements.

    Vocation and Combat Fixes

    • Fixed a Warfarer bug where equipping an Unmaking Arrow in a particular sequence could cause the Arisen to enter a T-pose and freeze the game.
    • Fixed an issue where certain enemies inside a Rancor’s Vortex could not be defeated, preventing the Vortex from being dispelled.
    • Fixed an issue where an Evil Eye’s barrier effect remained active after defeating it with an Unmaking Arrow.

    Pawn Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where calling a Pawn from the opposite side of a cliff could cause them to jump off the edge.
    • Fixed a problem where Thief Pawns continued pulling on the corpses of large enemies using Ensnare.
    • Fixed an issue where Pawns sometimes failed to say certain dialogue lines.

    NPC and UI Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where the NPC Jiera could unexpectedly die under certain conditions.
    • Fixed an incorrectly triggered equipment storage dialogue appearing on the appraisal results screen.
    • Fixed an issue where Warfarer Arisens with one or fewer equipped weapons could lose access to the Change Equipment option when entering the appraisal results screen.

    Quest Fixes

    • A Game of Wits: Fixed an issue where Pawns sometimes moved towards the shrine entrance even after being placed on the Sphinx’s pedestal.
    • Seeking the Sage: Fixed a problem during the Riddle of the Body where the mountainside cliff failed to change shape, leaving the path impassable.
    • Beyond Ruin-Night: Fixed an issue that prevented quest completion when certain enemies failed to die.

    Environmental and Exploration Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where the entrance doors of Precipitous Catacombs and Mired Conduit remained closed after loading a save made near their entrances.
    • Fixed an issue where certain ladders in Beorcan Stronghold could not be climbed.
    • Fixed a problem where ice pillars failed to break and continuously damaged characters who touched them.

    Other Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where weapons and armor given to a Pawn weren’t removed from the player’s inventory after dismissing that Pawn.
    • Fixed an issue where Offering Flames could not be obtained when using multiple save slots.
    • Fixed unnatural armor appearances when certain equipment was worn alongside the Beastren Mask.
    • Fixed hairstyles disappearing when wearing certain headgear.
    • Fixed background music failing to play under certain conditions.
    • Fixed an issue where characters’ mouths failed to move when wearing the Leather Throat Guard.
    • Fixed a problem where the Brine affected the Arisen in certain bodies of water but failed to affect Pawns and enemies.

There are quite a few smaller improvements here, but the Pawn-related fixes are particularly welcome. Anyone who has spent time with Dragon’s Dogma knows that these companions can sometimes make questionable decisions, especially around cliffs.

At least the latest update should make some of those adventures a little less frustrating.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 Is Coming in October 2027

The timing of this collaboration is particularly interesting for fans of the anime because the wait for its second season is still quite a long one.

Delicious in Dungeon first aired in 2024, with Studio Trigger handling the anime adaptation of Ryoko Kui’s popular manga.

The story follows Laios and his companions as they return to a dangerous dungeon after a Red Dragon swallows his sister, Falin. With limited money and supplies, the group decides to survive by preparing meals using the monsters they encounter along the way.

What begins as a rather unusual fantasy cooking adventure gradually develops into a much larger story involving the dungeon’s history, its inhabitants, and the strange forces controlling the world.

It’s a genuinely entertaining combination of comedy, fantasy, exploration, and worldbuilding.

The good news is that the second season has officially been confirmed for October 2027, with Netflix handling the international release.

That still leaves fans with quite a wait, but the Dragon’s Dogma collaboration offers a small opportunity to spend some more time with two of the series’ most recognizable characters in another fantasy world.

Is the Delicious in Dungeon Crossover Worth Checking Out?

As someone who enjoys both fantasy RPGs and cooking-themed adventures, this is a crossover I honestly didn’t expect to see.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Delicious in Dungeon might approach fantasy storytelling differently, but they share plenty of common ground. Both feature dangerous creatures, enormous dungeons, strange discoveries, and groups of adventurers trying to survive in worlds that are considerably more dangerous than they initially appear.

Adding Laios and Marcille as official Pawns is a fun way to bring those worlds together. The exclusive costumes are also a nice bonus, particularly because players get to keep them after the collaboration ends.

I do wish Capcom had gone a little further with the crossover, though. A handful of special food recipes, monster-related cooking challenges, or a dedicated dungeon quest would have made this collaboration feel even more connected to the anime.

Still, it’s a welcome surprise, and the additional bug fixes make the update worthwhile even for players who aren’t particularly familiar with Delicious in Dungeon.

Just remember to claim the outfits before January 28, 2027, and recruit Laios and Marcille while they’re still available.

Until then, there’s plenty of adventuring to do. And hopefully, Laios won’t spend the entire journey trying to figure out which Dragon’s Dogma monster tastes the best.
