Fortnite Leaks Home Alone Crossover: Wet Bandits Coming for Christmas 2025

Why the Wet Bandits Are Perfect for Fortnite

Fan-Favorite Villains

Harry and Marv, collectively known as the Wet Bandits (later the Sticky Bandits), are second only to Kevin in terms of Home Alone character popularity. Their comedic incompetence and memorable moments make them instantly recognizable:

• Harry’s short temper and burnt hat
• Marv’s distinctive tooth gap and tendency to scream
• Their hilarious reactions to Kevin’s elaborate traps
• The duo’s iconic burglar outfits

Gameplay Potential

The Wet Bandits would fit naturally into Fortnite’s mechanics:

Visual Customization:

• Beat-up variants showing trap damage (paint cans, blowtorches, etc.)
• Burglar tools as back bling
• Crowbar or other break-in equipment as pickaxes

Potential NPC Interactions:

• Could offer quests involving surviving traps
• Challenges related to recovering from damage
• Breaking into structures or safes

Emotes:

• Marv’s iconic scream
• Harry’s angry reactions
• The Wet Bandits hand signal

Why Kevin McCallister Won’t Be in Fortnite

The Hitbox Problem

While disappointing for fans, there are legitimate technical reasons why Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin wasn’t mentioned in the leak and likely won’t appear:

Size Limitations:

• Kevin is under 10 years old in Home Alone 1 and 2
• Fortnite carefully maintains consistent character sizes to avoid hitbox advantages/disadvantages
• A child-sized character would be significantly smaller than standard skins, creating competitive imbalance

Epic’s Precedent:

• Peter Griffin was given a muscular build instead of his show-accurate appearance
• Characters are regularly adjusted to fit Fortnite’s standardized proportions
• Epic avoids giving players competitive advantages through character selection

Alternative Solutions (and Why They Won’t Work)

Option 1: Age Up Kevin

• Doesn’t make sense for the character
• Loses the entire point of Home Alone
• Fans want the iconic 8-year-old version

Option 2: Add a Mech (Like Morty)

• Morty from Rick and Morty got a mech suit due to size
• Problem: Home Alone isn’t a sci-fi franchise
• A mech would completely break character immersion

Option 3: Make Him Back Bling or Pet

• Doesn’t give players the “play as Kevin” experience fans want
• Would feel like a consolation prize

The Reality: There’s simply no way to authentically represent a normal child like Kevin in Fortnite without creating gameplay issues or sacrificing the character’s identity.

Possible Kevin-Related Content

While Kevin himself likely won’t be playable, Epic could include Home Alone references:

• Talkboy recorder as back bling or emote
• Paint can trap as a pickaxe
• “Keep the change, ya filthy animal” as a voice line or emote
• Kevin’s house blueprint loading screen

Fortnite’s History of Holiday Crossovers

Original Christmas Skins

Fortnite has released dozens of original holiday-themed skins over the years, including:

Fan Favorites:

• Red-nosed Raider
• Sgt. Winter
• Crackabella
• Grimbles
• Cutiepie
• Polar Patroller
• Blinky
• Mr. Dappermint
• Polar Peely
• Winterfest Bushranger

Previous Holiday Movie Collaborations

Nightmare Before Christmas (2023):

• Jack Skellington skin added
• Works for both Halloween and Christmas
• May return to the Item Shop this holiday season

The success of the Jack Skellington collab likely encouraged Epic to pursue more holiday movie partnerships, making Home Alone a natural next step.

What a Full Home Alone Event Could Include

While only the Wet Bandits skins are currently rumored, here’s what a complete Home Alone collaboration might look like:

Skins and Cosmetics

Confirmed (Rumored):

• Harry (Wet Bandit) skin
• Marv (Wet Bandit) skin

Possible Additional Items:

• Burglar outfit variants
• Post-trap “damaged” styles
• Prison jumpsuit styles (from the end of the movie)

Back Bling Options

• Crowbar and tools
• Stolen loot bag
• Paint can trap
• Talkboy recorder
• Tarantula (Marv’s nightmare)

Pickaxes

• Crowbar
• Paint can on a rope
• Blowtorch
• Snow shovel

Emotes

• Wet Bandits hand signal
• Marv’s scream
• “Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal”
• Aftershave slap reaction
• Ice slip and fall

Gliders

• Wet Bandits van
• Stolen Christmas tree
• McCallister house chimney

Could the Home Alone House Come to Fortnite?

POI Potential

The McCallister house would make an incredible Fortnite POI:

Layout Opportunities:

• Multi-story mansion perfect for vertical combat
• Basement, main floor, and upstairs bedrooms
• Iconic locations: front steps, basement furnace, attic
• Garage and surrounding yard

Interactive Elements:

• Trap locations that deal damage or slow players
• Hidden loot in Kevin’s secret spots
• Basement furnace as a landmark
• Christmas decorations and lighting

Gameplay Mechanics:

• Tar-covered basement stairs (mobility debuff)
• Icy front steps (slip mechanic)
• Paint can traps in stairwells
• Micro machines scattered as hazards

Why It Might Not Happen

The leak only mentioned skins, suggesting the collab may be cosmetic-only without map changes. Epic may be saving larger POI additions for different collaborations or keeping the Home Alone event simple.

Community Reactions and Expectations

What Fans Are Saying

The Fortnite community has mixed feelings about a Home Alone collab without Kevin:

Positive Reactions:

• “The Wet Bandits are iconic! This will be hilarious”
• “Finally, a Christmas skin I actually want”
• “Can’t wait to recreate their fails in-game”

Disappointed Reactions:

• “No Kevin? What’s the point?”
• “I wanted to play as Kevin setting traps”
• “They should age him up or something”

Realistic Takes:

• “Makes sense Kevin can’t work with hitboxes”
• “Better to have the Bandits than nothing”
• “Epic is making the right call here”

Comparison to Other Collabs

Similar Situations:

• Rick and Morty: Only Rick was standard; Morty needed a mech
• Family Guy: Peter Griffin was redesigned for proper proportions
• Spider-Verse: Miles Morales works because he’s a teenager

Home Alone faces unique challenges because its protagonist is a young child in a realistic setting—no sci-fi workarounds available.

Pricing Predictions

Based on previous Fortnite movie collaborations:

Individual Skins: 1,500 V-Bucks each Bundle (Both Bandits): 2,500-2,800 V-Bucks Full Set with Cosmetics: 3,500-4,000 V-Bucks

Epic typically offers bundle discounts when purchasing multiple items from a collaboration, so buying Harry and Marv together should save some V-Bucks.

Other Potential Christmas 2025 Fortnite Content

Returning Holiday Skins

Expect these to return to the Item Shop:

• Classic Christmas skins from previous years
• Jack Skellington (Nightmare Before Christmas)
• Winterfest cosmetics
• Snow-themed battle pass items

Winterfest 2025 Event

Fortnite’s annual Winterfest typically includes:

• Free daily presents with cosmetic rewards
• Holiday-themed map changes
• Snow and winter weather effects
• Special limited-time modes
• Creative mode holiday maps

Other Possible Movie Collabs

If Home Alone is coming, could these follow?

• Elf (Will Ferrell)
• The Grinch (Jim Carrey version)
• A Christmas Story (Ralphie in his bunny suit)
• Die Hard (John McClane—is it a Christmas movie? The debate continues)

Final Thoughts: Will This Collab Happen?

Likelihood Assessment

Strong Indicators This Is Real:

• Source has proven credibility
• Timing makes perfect sense (Christmas season)
• Epic has established holiday movie collab precedent
• Home Alone is universally beloved and recognizable

Reasons for Caution:

• Leaker advised taking info with “grain of salt”
• No official Epic Games confirmation yet
• Details are sparse (only mentions skins)

Verdict: This leak has a high probability of being accurate, but as with all rumors, nothing is confirmed until Epic Games makes an official announcement.

What to Do Now

If you’re excited about potential Home Alone Fortnite skins:

1. Save your V-Bucks (aim for at least 3,000-4,000)
2. Follow official Fortnite channels for announcements
3. Watch for Item Shop updates in late November/December
4. Complete current challenges to earn V-Bucks for the collab

The Bottom Line

While Kevin McCallister might not be making an appearance due to legitimate technical limitations, the Wet Bandits are arguably the perfect Home Alone representatives for Fortnite. Their comedic villainy, iconic looks, and memorable moments make them ideal for the game’s chaotic energy.

Plus, let’s be honest: running around as Harry or Marv getting repeatedly eliminated mirrors their experience in the movies perfectly. Sometimes the bumbling villains are more fun to play than the clever hero anyway.

Keep checking the Item Shop this holiday season—the Wet Bandits might just be breaking into Fortnite sooner than you think.
