Free Last of Us Avatars for PS4 and PS5: All Region Codes

Key Takeaways

• Naughty Dog is giving away four free Last of Us avatars for PS4 and PS5 profiles to celebrate The Last of Us Day 2026.
• You don’t need PlayStation Plus. You just redeem an official code in the PlayStation Store.
• Codes are region based, so use the one that matches your account.
• The avatars feature the Seraphites, the Rattlers, the W.L.F. and Ellie’s space pin.
• A new Last of Us Welcome Hub wallpaper is also live on PS5, for the first time ever.
• On PC, The Last of Us Part I is 50% off and Part II is 33% off starting October 1 at 10 AM PDT.

Free stuff always hits different when it’s Last of Us stuff. Naughty Dog is celebrating The Last of Us Day 2026 with a handful of freebies, and the easiest one to grab is a set of four PSN avatars. No purchase, no subscription, just a code.

Free Last of Us Avatar Codes for Every Region

Each region has its own code, so make sure you pick the one that matches your PlayStation account. Here’s the full list:

• Americas: QDFN-GT5D-AMG7
• Europe and Australia: 9EBR-7QEJ-R3CG
• Japan: JQ38-ER84-H78R
• Korea: LH7H-CE4H-J527
• Asia: MMLL-XQGG-Q9BG

The codes were published by Naughty Dog for the celebration. No expiry date has been announced, but free codes like this can get pulled without much warning, so I wouldn’t wait around.

How to Redeem the Last of Us Avatar Code

• Open the PlayStation Store on your console, in your browser, or in the PlayStation app.
• Find the option to redeem a code.
• Type in the code for your region.
• Confirm, then head to your profile settings to pick your new avatar.

If the code gets rejected, double check that your account region matches the code you used. A wrong region is the most common reason these fail.

The Last of Us 2 Seraphites

What Do the Four Avatars Look Like?

The set pulls from the series’ most recognizable symbols. You get the Seraphites, the Rattlers, a W.L.F. patch and Ellie’s space shuttle pin. They work on both PS4 and PS5 profiles, and since they’re tied to The Last of Us Day and not to a PlayStation Plus giveaway, you can grab them even if you don’t subscribe.

PS5 Welcome Hub Wallpaper and Other Freebies

The avatars aren’t the only drop. For the first time ever, The Last of Us is getting its own background for the PS5 Welcome Hub. It features characters from both games, with dynamic effects like smoke around Joel and embers around Abby. On PC, Steam players also get new animated avatars for The Last of Us Part I and Part II Remastered.

Naughty Dog also announced a limited-edition Clicker collectible made with Youtooz, plus official Last of Us social media accounts. There’s even a Clicker-inspired armor set coming to Ghost of Yotei, which will be wearable in the base game and the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. You can see everything in the studio’s own Last of Us Day 2026 blog post.

Charity Stream and PC Sale

The celebration includes a charity livestream with AbleGamers, focused on The Last of Us Part II Remastered’s No Return mode. If you want a game to pair with your shiny new avatar, the PC sale kicks in on October 1 at 10 AM PDT. That’s 50% off The Last of Us Part I and 33% off Part II. The sale is time limited, unlike the free avatars, which you can claim right now.

Should You Grab These Avatars?

Honestly, yes. It takes about a minute, it’s free, and the designs are pretty clean. Push Square has a good rundown of all the day’s drops if you want to see the rest of the celebration in one place, with more on the Last of Us Day avatars, Ghost of Yotei armor and figures.
