Genshin Impact Sales Chart Shows Escoffier Outshining Navia
A new Genshin Impact sales chart has sparked buzz in the community, highlighting a surprising gap between the two current five-star banner characters: Fontaine’s Escoffier and the ever-popular Navia.
As usual, the latest update features a dual-banner system—something that’s been standard since the Inazuma era. Players have about three weeks to pull for either limited five-star character, and with the current banners set to expire around May 27, time’s running out to snag them.
According to data from the reliable fan site Paimon.moe, Escoffier is bringing in over 85% of the banner sales. That’s a pretty big shocker for some fans, considering Navia’s status as one of the top Geo characters and a main DPS favorite.
So what gives? For starters, Escoffier is the only brand-new five-star introduced in this update. She fits best in a Freeze-based team as a sub-DPS or support. While Freeze isn’t exactly a meta-defining elemental reaction (and hasn’t been for a while), HoYoverse has been steadily boosting older reactions like it—either with direct buffs or by releasing new characters to enhance them.
Navia, on the other hand, has done a lot for Geo since her debut in Fontaine. She’s super fun to play and shines as a main DPS, but this banner round, she’s clearly not the star of the show in terms of revenue.
It’s worth noting that the banners also introduced Ifa, a new four-star character from Natlan. Since he’s featured on both banners, his presence probably didn’t tilt the sales scale in either direction.
A big factor in Escoffier’s success might be her rumored synergy with an upcoming five-star character: Skirk. She’s been one of the most hyped and mysterious characters in Genshin lore, and it’s finally been confirmed that she’ll be playable in update 5.7. With that kind of future team potential, it makes sense that Escoffier is getting so much love at the moment.
