Genshin Impact Operation Downpour: Complete Stage Guide for All 11 Challenges
There’s a new tabletop twist happening in the Court of Fontaine, and it’s called the Operation Downpour Simulation.
The Special Security and Surveillance Patrol have brought this wargame to life, letting Travelers like you deploy units and take down enemy defenses in style.
You’ll be setting up your pieces in designated zones and watching them auto-target enemies based on their traits.
Clear the field of enemy units and their defenses to claim victory. With 11 stages to tackle, here’s how to clear each one smoothly:
Stage 1: Frontline Formation
A warm-up round. Here’s an easy strategy:
- Place 2 Hilichurls at the top side.
- Place 2 Samachurls just below the right-side Cryo Whopperflower.
Once the Samachurls take out the Whopperflower, the Hilichurls move in to smash the Wooden Palisades.
Stage 2: Thrust and Volley Combined
Barriers block the paths, and they’re flammable!
- Drop 2 Ruin Guards in the center.
- Line up 3 Hilichurl Grenadiers between the Ruin Guards.
Hydro Slimes will get distracted by your Guards while the Grenadiers burn down all the wooden stuff.
Stage 3: Siege Strategies
Now you’ve got three piece types to play with!
- Put 3 Cryo Specters in front of the bottom Cryo Samachurl.
- After defeating the Frostarm Lawachurl, place a Ruin Guard in the middle.
- Then, add an Electro Samachurl next to the Guard.
Specters dodge ground attacks, but once stronger enemies come in, your Ruin Guard and Samachurl will hold the line.
Stage 4: Studies in Momentum
The Suppression Specialist Mek—Ousia is out for airborne pieces.
- Start with an Electro Cicin in the center bottom.
- After defeating the first Cryo Whopperflower, drop an Eroding Avatar of Lava in its place to break obstacles.
- Add 2 Hilichurls behind it.
Once the second obstacle line is gone, send in more troops to mop up the rest.
Stage 5: A Tactician’s Breastplate
Time to multitask.
- Two Hilichurls go on the bottom, each aiming at a Suppression Specialist Mek.
- Two Cryo Specters up top to focus on Hydro Slimes.
Even if one Hilichurl gets delayed by a Shackling Mine, the others can handle their targets.
Stage 6: To the Trenches
Say hello to the Hydro Mimic Finch, a new AoE shockwave beast.
- Place Grenadiers in the bottom right and top left.
- Once the first barrier’s down, put the Finch in the bottom right.
- After barrier two, stack all remaining pieces in the same spot for a heavy push.
Stage 7: Grand Armies
Barricades protect key enemies here.
- Start with 2 Ruin Guards in the middle, aimed at exposed targets.
- Drop 2 Electro Samachurls beneath the barricades (left and right).
- Add a Hilichurl to the bottom right.
Mixing ranged and melee helps you break through efficiently.
Stage 8: More Firepower, Fewer Casualties
Lots of barriers again, but your Grenadiers are up for it.
- Use 2 Electro Samachurls to take out Frostarm Lawachurls in the center.
- Place a Ruin Guard in the bottom lane to soak hits from Pyro Potioneers.
- Add 2 Hilichurl Grenadiers to burn barriers and enemies alike.
Stage 9: Like Mountain Raindrops
Things get tougher here—watch out for anti-air units.
- Eroding Avatar of Lava on middle left to hit the Wooden Palisades.
- Cryo Specters go top left (for Lawachurl) and bottom (for general support).
- Once the left obstacles are gone, place 2 Hilichurls to deal with the Cryo Whopperflower.
Wrap it up by deploying remaining units to clean up.
Stage 10: Like Peeling an Onion
It’s all about strategic explosions.
- Hydro Mimic Finch on both sides to target Pyro Potioneers.
- Electro Cicin goes bottom left, and another on the opposite side, both targeting Palisades.
- A third Finch hits Palisades then explodes on the Whopperflowers.
- Drop a Ruin Guard in mid-lane after Finch hits its mark.
Use your long-range units to finish it off.
Stage 11: Dispersing the Morning Mist
The final and toughest round. Bring your A-game.
- Eroding Avatar of Lava up top and left.
- Hilichurl Grenadier on top left to clear the path.
- After that, place a Hydro Mimic Finch to target Lawachurl and then Suppression Mek.
- Cryo Specter on bottom left takes on Lawachurl and Slimes.
- Once Avatar is down, place another Cryo Specter bottom right to clean up any leftovers.
Use any remaining units to deal with stragglers.
