Oblivion Remastered: How to Find Brusef Amelion’s Sword and Armor Set

Learn how to find all pieces of Brusef Amelion’s unique sword and armor set in Oblivion Remastered, including detailed directions through the Amelion Tomb.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is loaded with unique weapons and armor that not only look awesome but also give players powerful effects to help them survive the wilds of Cyrodiil.
One early-game gear set you don’t want to miss is Brusef Amelion’s Sword and Armor, introduced during the Fighter’s Guild quest called An Amelion in Distress.
While the quest gives you the option to collect the gear for someone else, smart players can go grab it for themselves — and trust me, it’s worth it.
Here’s exactly where to find every piece of Brusef Amelion’s equipment without giving it up.

Where to Find Brusef Amelion’s Armor Set & Sword
First things first:
- Fast-travel to Leyawiin.
- Head slightly north until you find the entrance to Amelion Tomb.
Once you step inside, keep your guard up — this dungeon has a few traps and undead enemies ready to make things difficult.

Step-by-Step Guide Through Amelion Tomb
1. Starting the Search
- Walk straight into the tomb.
- You’ll quickly hit a room with two paths: one straight ahead, one left.
Warning:
If you keep moving straight, falling rocks will trigger.
Creep forward carefully to avoid getting flattened.
Grab Brusef Amelion’s Gauntlets near the danger zone.
2. Find the Boots
- Turn around and take the left-hand path.
- You’ll see a split — head right first.
- At the end, hop over a coffin to grab Brusef Amelion’s Boots.
Easy!

3. Lower the Hidden Rock
- Backtrack to the split and now take the left path.
- Activate the Pull Rope you find there.
- This lowers a rock wall, opening a new hidden path.
Move through the passage until you reach a bigger room crawling with zombies.
4. Find the Shield
- Open the wooden door on your left when you enter the new room.
- In the next chamber, look straight ahead for a wooden crate.
- Behind it, you’ll find Brusef Amelion’s Shield.
5. Enter the Sarcophagus Chamber
- Follow the passage to the left of the room.
- You’ll come into the Sarcophagus Chamber.
Prepare yourself — you’ll get ambushed by skeletons here.
Fight them off, then:
- Take the left path to reach the coffin room.
6. Find the Sword and Cuirass
- Deal with the Ancient Ghost lurking nearby.
- On your left, you’ll spot Brusef Amelion’s Cuirass and Brusef Amelion’s Sword resting together.
✅ The sword has a Frost Damage on Strike enchantment (500 charges, 100 uses) — very nice for early-to-mid game.
7. Find the Greaves
- Turn around and head to the northeast corner of the coffin room.
- There, you’ll find Brusef Amelion’s Greaves tucked away.
Almost there!

8. Get the Helmet
- Go through the nearby door.
- Be cautious — there’s a pit trap just ahead.
Skirt around it carefully and head toward the southwest corner of the room.
- Behind some Wisp Stalks, you’ll find:
- Brusef Amelion’s Helmet
- A chest with some extra Gold for your trouble.
- Brusef Amelion’s Helmet
Mission complete — you’ve officially recovered the full set!
What’s Special About Brusef Amelion’s Gear?
- Brusef Amelion’s Sword deals Frost Damage with every strike.
- Brusef Amelion’s Cuirass grants Frost Shield on Self (6 seconds).
- The rest of the armor set is a solid Light Armor setup that’s durable enough for most early adventures.
While the gear isn’t endgame material, it’s a fantastic reward for low to mid-level players — and it looks great, too.
If you’re planning on building a frost-themed character or just want a good lightweight armor set early on, Brusef Amelion’s gear is 100% worth hunting down.
Plus, it feels good to snag a full named set without needing to grind through a massive dungeon or a massive questline. ❄️⚔️
So head north from Leyawiin, dive into the Amelion Tomb, and grab your frosty new arsenal!
