The Tailor’s Guide to Linen in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
If you’re diving into the Tailor life in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, then you know how important crafting materials are — and linen is one you’ll be using a lot. It’s a two-star Tailoring Material used in plenty of recipes, from stylish armor to cozy furniture for your home.
That said, tracking it down can be a little tricky, especially since the game’s map spans across the past, present, and Ginormosia. This guide breaks down where to get linen, how to craft it, and the recipes it’s used in. Also check How to Use Treasure Grove & Goddess Fruit.
Where to Buy Linen in Fantasy Life i
One of the easiest ways to get Linen is by purchasing it from Material Shops. You’ll find one in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island — but getting there takes a bit of travel.

To reach the shop quickly:
- Fast travel to Terrasa Farm, just east of Faraway Island.
- Head through the paths in Lulab Forest (watch out for monsters).
- The Material Shop is located on the right side of the forest.
At the shop, you can buy Linen for 200 Dosh each. It’s not too pricey, but if you’re planning to craft a bunch of gear or furniture, you’ll want to stock up.
How to Craft Linen
Don’t want to spend all your Dosh? No problem — you can also craft Linen yourself once you hit Apprentice Tailor (that’s one level above Fledgling).

Here’s what you need to make Linen:
- 3x Flax Thread
Flax Thread is a 3-star Tailoring Material and can be bought from:
- The same Material Shop in Lulab Forest
- Marco’s Shop at Base Camp
Price: 80 Dosh each
Once you’ve got enough Flax Thread, head to a Tailor Workbench and get crafting.
