How Careers Work in inZOI
Careers in inZOI fall into two types:
- Active Careers (like Firefighting), where you control your ZOI at work.
- Rabbit Hole Careers, where they vanish into a building and you get limited interaction.
They also break down into Part-Time and Full-Time, based on pay and hours. Firefighting is a full-time, active career that lets you be involved every step of the way.

How to Become a Firefighter in inZOI
To sign up for the Firefighter career, your ZOI needs to live in Dowon, which is currently the only city with a Fire Station.
Here’s how to get started:
- Open your ZOI’s phone.
- Tap on the Careers App.
- Apply for the Firefighter job.
Once hired, your ZOI will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, leaving Wednesdays and weekends free to chill, build skills, or spend time with others.
🏙️ Fun fact: Dowon has a bunch of other city-exclusive jobs like Idol Trainee, Pro Gamer, and Street Soldier. Meanwhile, Bliss Bay has its own set—like Football Player and Amusement Park Worker.
Firefighter Work Tasks – What Your ZOI Will Do
Since this is an Active Career, you’ll get a list of tasks to complete while at work. First up? Change into your uniform:
- Head to a Uniform Cabinet in the locker room and select “Change into Uniform.”
Here’s a breakdown of common daily objectives and how to complete them:
Task | How to Complete |
Do Administrative Tasks | Use a computer in the main office. |
Read Status Board | Also done via computer—click “Read Status Board.” |
Update Work Log | Another computer task. Easy XP! |
Respond to Requests | Yep—computer again. This one keeps you in the loop with what’s going on. |
Work Out in Weight Room | Hit the gym area and use any of the machines. You’ll usually have to do this a few times. |
Hold a Meeting | Use one of the chairs in the meeting room. If your ZOI ends the meeting too early, you can just start another one. |
You’ll often see tasks like “Do Admin Tasks for 45 minutes” or “Work Out 5 Times,” so you’ll need to juggle these while keeping your ZOI’s needs in check.
Managing Needs at the Fire Station
Your ZOI still has needs during work hours, but thankfully, the Fire Station has you covered:
Need | How to Handle It |
Hunger | Use the vending machine or grab a slice from the fridge. |
Cleanliness | Hit the showers in the locker room. |
Sleep | No beds, but those comfy benches in the hallway can be used for a quick nap. |
Bathroom | There’s a fully stocked bathroom, no stress here. |
Fun | Play games on laptops, use the TV, read a book, or bring a portable console in your ZOI’s inventory. |
Social | Chat with your coworkers—there’s always someone around. |
Recognition | Socializing and building relationships with your team also helps fill this meter. |
Vigor | Let your ZOI do activities they enjoy (like working out!) to fill this one up. |
Career Progression – Climb the Firefighting Ladder
Promotions in this career are all about:
- Completing tasks well
- Managing needs efficiently
- Showing up on time
You’ll get a notification on your ZOI’s phone when it’s time to level up.
Here are the promotion stages:
- Trainee Firefighter
- Lieutenant
- Captain
- Battalion Chief
- Assistant Chief
With the most promotion steps of any current career, it’ll take time and effort—but the journey is worth it if you’re into detailed job progression.
