Lego Pokémon Announced – Coming in 2026!
Officially Announced— Yes, Lego Pokémon Announced – Coming in 2026!
In news that’s about to empty wallets everywhere, Lego has officially announced a Pokémon-themed range set to launch in 2026.
The reveal? Well, for now, it’s just two logos sitting next to each other on a website, plus a Lego Pikachu tail—but let’s be real, that’s all it took to get Pokémon and Lego fans completely hyped.
“Electrify your imagination in 2026 and get ready to build something we’ve never built with Lego bricks before!” Lego teased in the announcement.
This move signals the end of Pokémon’s longtime partnership with Mega Bloks, which has been cranking out buildable Pokémon sets for years. Now, it seems Lego is taking over, following its successful Nintendo collaborations with Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing.

🔍 What Kind of Pokémon Lego Sets Can We Expect?
Lego hasn’t given away any details yet, but we can make some solid guesses.
Most Likely:
✅ Buildable Pokémon models → Something like Lego Super Mario figures but with Pokémon? Absolutely.
✅ Display pieces → Expect detailed models of fan-favorite Pokémon (Pikachu, Charizard, Eevee, you name it) that you can put on your desk or shelf.
Less Likely, But Would Be Amazing:
❌ A full-on Pokémon playset → Could we get a Lego Pallet Town? Maybe, but don’t hold your breath.
❌ Ash Ketchum & Trainers as minifigures → Please, Lego, we need this.
❌ An interactive battle system → The press release hinted at “pushing the boundaries of social play.” Could we see NFC integration where Lego Pokémon battle each other?
Either way, this is going to be huge.
💬 What Lego & Pokémon Have to Say About It
Lego’s chief product and marketing officer, Julia Goldin, sounds just as excited as we are:
“We are thrilled to be working with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fanbase as Pokémon, partnering to give our joint audiences what they have been asking us for.”
Meanwhile, Gaku Susai, Pokémon Company’s chief product and experience officer, called the collab a “groundbreaking” partnership:
“The Lego Group and Pokémon have strong shared values of imagination, creativity, and fun. This partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.”

📢 What Else Is Happening in the Lego & Pokémon World?
Aside from Lego Pokémon, Nintendo just announced the Lego Super Mario: Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart set, featuring a buildable Mario with posable arms and head.
And in Pokémon gaming news, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set to launch later this year for the Nintendo Switch (and probably Switch 2). It’s taking longer than expected, but hey, more time for Lego Pokémon leaks to roll in.
