Marvel Rivals fans can grab dazzling new skins for Scarlet Witch and Adam Warlock on May 22. Here’s what to expect — plus updates on Ultron, Chrono Shield Cards, and returning battle passes.

Marvel Rivals is treating fans to some eye-catching new cosmetics. NetEase Games has revealed that new skins for Scarlet Witch and Adam Warlock will be hitting the in-game shop on May 22 at 7 PM PDT — and the designs are already creating serious buzz.

This comes as Marvel Rivals continues to roll through its second season, which recently introduced Emma Frost as a playable character. There’s more on the way too, with Ultron expected to arrive in a major mid-season update.

Fresh Looks for Two Powerful Heroes

The upcoming Scarlet Witch skin, dubbed Immortal Sovereign, offers a dazzling twist on her classic look. Instead of the usual all-red palette, this version dresses Wanda in a flowing red gown with deep purple highlights, and glowing golden light shines from her hair, ribbons, and hands. Fans are loving the elegance of the design, with many calling it her most radiant skin yet.

As for Adam Warlock, his new outfit takes a much darker turn. Typically known for his golden armor, Warlock now rocks a sleek black ensemble with gold accents and a splash of jade on his belt. Perhaps the boldest feature? Two dragons perched on his shoulders, giving him a menacing, mythical edge.

NetEase hasn’t shared the prices for either skin yet, but anticipation is running high.

Chrono Shield Cards Stir Debate — But With Limits

Alongside the new skins, NetEase recently introduced Chrono Shield Cards during the Galacta’s Gift event. These items work similarly to Chrono Shield Tokens, helping players avoid losing Competitive points after a defeat.

The community initially raised concerns about potential pay-to-win mechanics, but NetEase clarified:

  • Chrono Shield Cards cannot be bought with real money
  • They are only usable by players ranked Gold or lower

So for now, competitive balance looks safe — at least according to the developers.

Battle Pass Blast from the Past

In a bit of surprise nostalgia, Marvel Rivals has brought back its Season 0 battle pass for a limited time. Players have until May 29 to grab it. NetEase also hinted that more past battle passes might return in the future, though they’ll require more Lattice than they originally did.

With flashy new cosmetics, quality-of-life features, and more characters on the horizon, Marvel Rivals is riding strong into its second season. Whether you’re here for the competition or the cosmetics, May 22 is shaping up to be a big day for fans of the hero shooter.
