Marvel Rivals Dev Talks About PvE Mode – Is It Coming?

Many Marvel Rivals players have been hoping for a PvE mode, where they can fight against AI instead of other players. But is NetEase actually making one? A developer finally answered, and here’s what we know!
Where Did the PvE Rumors Come From? 🤯
Back in January 2025, two game leakers said that NetEase was working on a PvE mode for Marvel Rivals.
🔹 What they claimed:
- NetEase started developing a PvE mode at some point.
- A hidden game tag suggested PvE might still be in development.
But NetEase never confirmed these rumors, leaving players to guess if it was true or not.

Marvel Rivals Producer Says There Are No PvE Plans 🚫
IGN recently asked Marvel Rivals producer Weicong Wu if a PvE mode was coming.
💬 His answer?
👉 “For now, we don’t have any kind of a PvE plan, but our team is always testing new game modes. If we find something fun, we will add it for players.”
So, right now, NetEase is NOT working on a PvE mode.
Was PvE Canceled? 🧐
Wu didn’t say if NetEase had ever worked on PvE, but it’s possible they thought about it before deciding not to add it.
Why Do Players Want PvE?
- Many were disappointed when Overwatch 2 dropped its PvE plans.
- A PvE mode could help tell cool Marvel stories.
- It would let players have fun without facing real opponents.
For now, PvE isn’t happening, but Wu didn’t completely close the door on it in the future.

New Game Modes NetEase Has Added 🔥
Even though PvE isn’t coming, NetEase has already tested other fun modes, like:
⚽ Clash of Dancing Lions – A Rocket League-style mode during Spring Festival.
🎨 Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival – A Splatoon-inspired mode during Winter Celebration.
Since they keep experimenting, there’s still a chance they could add PvE later if enough players want it!
Will We Ever Get PvE? 🤷♂️
🚫 No PvE mode is planned right now.
🔬 NetEase is testing new game modes, so things could change.
🎭 If players ask for it enough, NetEase might reconsider.
