Less than two months after launch, Yacht Club Games and iam8bit have teamed up to give Mina the Hollower the collector treatment it absolutely deserves. The Mina the Hollower Collection is officially open for pre-order starting today, July 23, 2026 — and the window to grab it only runs until August 17, 2026. If you sleep on it, it’s gone.
Here’s a full breakdown of every item in the collection, what’s in the bundle, individual prices, and what composer Jake Kaufman revealed in a recent interview about the soundtrack that’s getting pressed to vinyl.
Everything in the Mina the Hollower iam8bit Collection
The collection is split into four separate products you can buy individually or together. Here’s what’s available:
Mina the Hollower 3xLP Vinyl Soundtrack — $64.99
This is the star of the collection. Jake Kaufman’s Mina the Hollower soundtrack is a 96-track behemoth composed primarily using the Game Boy sound chip combined with the Konami Sound Cartridge (SCC+) — the same expansion chip used in MSX computers that gave Konami’s retro catalogue so much of its distinctive crunch. Two tracks were contributed by Yuzo Koshiro, one of the most legendary composers in gaming history and a personal hero of Kaufman’s since childhood.
The physical release is pressed on Velvet Purple Splatter Vinyl, features retro-inspired zoetrope cover art by illustrator Nimit Malava, and comes with a pair of 3D glasses designed specifically to reveal a hidden visual effect on the artwork when you look through them. It’s the kind of extra touch that makes a vinyl release feel genuinely special rather than just a record in a sleeve.
Mina the Hollower Notebook — $19.99
A 240-page blank notebook built to look like Mina’s actual in-game journal, complete with a faux leather cover to sell the aesthetic. It’s a blank book for your own notes, not a lore book or art collection, but the design is faithful enough to the in-game item that it works as a display piece on its own. At $19.99 it’s also the easiest buy in the collection for anyone who doesn’t want to go all in.
Mina the Hollower Keychain Blind Box — $14.99
Each blind box contains one flat PVC keychain from a pool of six characters, with a Secret Chase Rare keychain as the seventh possible pull. You don’t know which one you’re getting until you open it — classic blind box territory. At $14.99 per box it’s accessible, though if you’re specifically chasing the Secret Chase you should go in with realistic expectations.
Mina the Hollower: Bone Up Bundle Edition — $89.99
The full package. For $89.99 you get the 3xLP vinyl, the notebook, and one keychain blind box. Buying everything separately would run you $99.97, so the bundle saves you roughly $10 and keeps the whole set together. If you’re planning on grabbing more than one item anyway, this is just the smarter buy. All items in the bundle ship together in Q4 2026 once pre-orders close on August 17.
Pre-Order Window, Shipping, and Where to Buy
Pre-orders are live right now through the official iam8bit Mina the Hollower collection page. The window closes on August 17, 2026, and everything ships in Q4 2026. This is a limited pre-order run — once it closes, that’s it, so there’s no “I’ll grab it later” option here.
Jake Kaufman on the Soundtrack: What Almost Didn’t Make It
The vinyl announcement is also a good excuse to talk about just how close Mina the Hollower’s soundtrack came to being half the size. In a recent interview, Kaufman opened up about how the game’s repeated delays — it originally had a Halloween 2025 release target before slipping to May 29, 2026 — ended up being the best thing that could have happened to the score.
“I had made peace with cutting at least half of the songs that are currently in the game,” Kaufman said. The original deadline would have forced a significant cull, with what he described as “a lot of cuts and unpleasant decisions.” The extra development time gave him room to not only keep tracks that would have been dropped, but to refine and expand the whole soundtrack into the 96-track behemoth it became.
Kaufman also revealed his personal favorite track in the game: Gator Gallop, the main theme of Nox’s Bayou. It’s one of several tracks in the game he calls “Cajunvania” songs — a blend of Zydeco, accordion, and Louisiana blues-rock influences inspired by his mother’s love of that style of music growing up. Two of the game’s areas (Septemburg and Nox’s Bayou) were directly shaped by the musical tastes of his parents, which gives that section of the soundtrack a personal weight beyond just atmosphere-building.
Kaufman also mentioned he plays through and completes every game he scores at least once — so the final soundtrack reflects someone who knows every inch of what players are going to experience.
Why Mina the Hollower Deserves This Kind of Treatment
For context on why this collection matters: Mina the Hollower launched on May 29, 2026, across Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC after a Kickstarter that raised over $1.4 million. It reviewed spectacularly — 91/100 on PC Metacritic, 89/100 on PS5 and Switch 2, and a 98% recommendation rate on OpenCritic. IGN and Shacknews both gave it a perfect 10. It’s one of those rare indie releases that genuinely lands across the board, not just in one corner of the gaming audience.
A collection like this from iam8bit is basically confirmation the game has reached a level where the physical merchandise market sees lasting demand. And given the quality of the soundtrack specifically — co-composed with Yuzo Koshiro and built on actual vintage sound hardware — a vinyl pressing was always going to be the right call for it.
