Fallen Trees Now in Java Edition!
With this update, fallen trees now generate naturally in Java Edition, just like in Bedrock. These fallen logs can be found in four different wood types:
🌲 Birch (comes in short and long versions)
🌳 Oak
🌴 Jungle
🌲 Spruce
For extra detail, mushrooms and vines can naturally grow on them, making forests feel even more immersive!
Where Can You Find Fallen Trees?
To spot fallen trees, explore these biomes:
✔ Meadow
✔ Bamboo Jungle
✔ River
✔ Grove
✔ Flower Forest (but only Birch trees spawn here—no Oaks!)
Firefly Bush & Leaf Litter Tweaks
🔥 Firefly Bush Spawning Adjustments
Previously, Firefly bushes generated in Badlands biomes, but not anymore! Now, they’ll spawn more frequently in the banks of Mangrove Swamps, making them blend better with the game’s ecosystem.
🍂 Leaf Litter Improvements
- Leaf litter blocks can now be replaced with other blocks, making them easier to build around!
- Bug fixes for SNBT texts, improving how syntax functions in custom commands.
That’s everything new in Minecraft Snapshot 25W09A!
✔ Fallen trees arrive in Java Edition 🎉
✔ Firefly bushes spawn in better locations
✔ Leaf litter blocks are more flexible for building
