Monster Hunter Wilds Devs Drop Warning to Cheaters Ahead of Title Update
Monster Hunter Wilds devs warn players against cheating in Arena Quests ahead of the April 4 update. Suspensions and reward bans are coming for anyone caught cheating.
With Monster Hunter Wilds‘ first major title update dropping on April 4, Capcom is laying down the law—especially when it comes to cheating. The devs have issued a clear warning: if you’re thinking about using cheats in Arena Quests, think again.

🛡️ What’s New in the Update?
This update brings some exciting stuff to the table, including:
- Battles against Mizutsune and Arch-tempered Rey Dau
- A brand-new social area, the Grand Hub
- Most importantly, the introduction of Arena Quests
These time-based Arena Quests let two Hunters team up to take down monsters as quickly as possible, competing for a spot on the global leaderboard. It’s a dream come true for speedrunners and competitive players looking to flex their skills.

🚨 Cheaters, Beware
As hype builds for the Arena Quests, Capcom is already stepping in to prevent cheaters from ruining the experience for everyone else.
“To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools,” Capcom stated.
Accounts caught cheating may be suspended or blocked from earning rewards in Arena Quests. And the crackdown doesn’t stop there.
If even one player in a group is cheating, the entire team’s run could be marked as invalid. That means no leaderboard time and no rewards—even for legit players who didn’t cheat.
🤔 So, What Should You Do?
If you’re in a hunt and something seems off, don’t risk it. Leave the quest and report the suspicious player. While Capcom hasn’t said if innocent teammates could be suspended, it’s better to play it safe than get caught up in someone else’s mess.
