🗡️ How to Unlock Zoh Shia (High Rank)

If you finished the main story, you’ve already fought Zoh Shia in Low Rank form during the epic finale in Wyveria. At the time, though, there wasn’t a gear set tied to the fight—kind of a bummer, right?

Well, Title Update 1 changes that.

To unlock Zoh Shia’s High Rank quest:

  • You need to hit Hunter Rank 50 (HR 50).
  • If you’re not there yet, focus on optional quests, investigations, and event quests to level up fast.

Once you reach HR 50, a new mission in Chapter 6-2 called “A First Cry” will unlock. Head to Suja and talk to Allhearken and Olivia to start the quest. They’ll clue you in on some strange activity near the Dragontorch—the same area where you fought Zoh Shia before.

After the scene, speak with Alma, who will ask if you’re ready to go. Select “I’m Ready”, and off you go—back into the heart of the storm for a rematch with Zoh Shia, now stronger than ever.

💡 Tips for Beating High Rank Zoh Shia

This fight doesn’t mess around. While it’s not a tempered version, it definitely hits like one—think difficulty levels similar to Gore Magala or Guardian Arkveld.

Key tips:

  • Zoh Shia is weak to Dragon damage—bring Dragon-element weapons or ammo.
  • Bring a full loadout of recovery items:
    • Mega Potions
    • Max Potions
    • Lifepowder
    • Nulberries
    • Ancient Potions if you’ve got them
  • Boost your stats with Mega Armorskin and Mega Demondrug.
  • Decorate your gear with your strongest attack, defense, or elemental buffs.
  • Zoh Shia doesn’t leave the arena, so item management is crucial.

Take your time, learn its patterns, and don’t get greedy—this is a battle of endurance as much as power.
