Treyarch confirms One in the Chamber is returning in Black Ops 6 Season 4, launching May 29. The update also brings back the classic Fringe map and iconic weapons like the FFAR and LC10.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans are in for a heavy dose of nostalgia as Season 4 officially launches on Thursday, May 29—and with it comes the long-awaited return of One in the Chamber, a fan-favorite party mode that first debuted in 2010’s Black Ops.
After weeks of leaks and speculation, Treyarch Studios has finally started to roll out official info about the new season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone. And so far, the announcements are delivering big for longtime fans of the series.
🎯 One in the Chamber Returns
Treyarch confirmed that One in the Chamber will be making its comeback in Season 4. This classic mode is simple but intense:
- Players spawn with one pistol and a single bullet.
- Land a shot, get another bullet. Miss, and you’re left with just a knife.
- Each player has three lives, and the one with the most points at the end wins.
The mode’s blend of strategy, precision, and tension made it a staple of Black Ops party lobbies and it has appeared in several Call of Duty titles over the years. Fans have been calling for its return since Black Ops 6 launched—and after three seasons, it’s finally back.
🗺️ Fringe Map Is Back
The return of One in the Chamber isn’t the only nod to the series’ past. Treyarch also confirmed that Fringe, the beloved multiplayer map from Black Ops 3, will be featured in Season 4.
Originally released in 2015, Fringe quickly became a favorite thanks to its balanced layout and classic three-lane design. It hasn’t appeared in any recent Call of Duty game—until now.
🔫 Returning Weapons: FFAR & LC10
In addition to new modes and maps, the Season 4 teaser trailer revealed two returning weapons:
- FFAR Assault Rifle – known for its high fire rate and versatility
- LC10 SMG – a fan favorite for close-quarters combat
Both weapons were briefly spotted in the teaser trailer and are expected to be available once the season officially drops. This follows the same pattern as Season 3, where weapons like the Kilo 141 and CR-56 AMAX were teased ahead of release.
🔍 New Game Mode Teased: “Last Team Standing”
On top of the confirmed content, Treyarch has also teased an upcoming mystery game mode with the caption “Last team standing.” While no further details have been shared yet, it’s likely we’ll hear more in the studio’s upcoming blog post set to go live later today.
